Surf Sigri's windsurf and kitesurf center is situated at the north end of Sigri Bay. The wind blows cross-offshore, and this is the reason why the water is perfectly flat in front of the center. The wind is always a little bit stronger, but the water is still perfectly flat, which helps all surfers to improve their windsurfing and kitesurfing levels to learn any kind of new maneuver.
The popular windsurf and kitesurf spots in Sigri are called "the freestyle corner" and the "channel". The freestyle corner makes your spot even more special as it is the perfect place to practice new moves. Due to the strong wind of the flat water, this place is ideal for learning any new maneuvers for all freestylers.
For those who are into a wave sailing, there is also an option of sailing up into the "channel" spot, located between Nissiopi and Sigri. If the wind is strong enough, you can find some nice waves there. You can surf the channel directly from the windsurf center. This spot is more recommended for advanced surfers.
In the northeast of the Aegean Sea, the wind from Meltemi blows nearly every day during the summer months. The wind comes from the Black Sea and is accelerated by a thermal effect of the mountains around Sigri. Since Sigri is directly situated in the wind zone, both winds (north and south) will blow through the village. This is why Sigri has such a good wind statistic and great spots the whole year round.
You can have and arrange your own preferred meals from the nearby local cafes and restaurants. Furthermore, there are a few coffee shops and snack bars which offer crepes, pizza, and cocktails. It is a great time to taste the manifold of Greek's gastronomy. Sigri Surf can offer you a hotel with breakfast but the price will be more expensive.
