Professional and experienced surf teachers will get you to that next level and help you get the most from your surfing. They use the latest and most advanced equipment to provide the best feeling ever. All the lessons include a surfboard and all the equipment needed. They have incredible year-round surf conditions for all surfing levels, making them probably one of the best places worldwide to improve your surfing or learn to surf for the first time.

Built with an eco-design, Selina has good and amazing vibes and an atmosphere with very familiar and dedicated service. Situated at the beach with a sea view, it has the perfect mixture of surfing, other activities, weekend parties, and relaxation. With a room repertoire that goes from dorms to suites, travelers will find an option for each personality and life stage. Time to gather and celebrate life in this new hostel concept that elevates the senses and connects you all.
The hostel is equipped with non-smoker rooms, including three different double rooms (en-suite bathroom/linen and towels included), two double rooms (shared bathroom/linen), and three shared rooms (shared bathroom/linen included). If you break this rule, a 300 USD fine will be applied for smoking. Selina also comes complete with hot water, air conditioning, luggage storage lockers, towel service, and free Wi-Fi. Please note that guests must be 18 years of age or older to stay in shared dorms.
Co-work space, TV area, shared kitchen (fridge/freezer and microwaves), laundry service, bonfire, garden, swimming pool, sun loungers, beach chairs, sun umbrellas, pool table, beach volleyball, board games, library, and parking are available as well. Selina is child-friendly (less than three years of age is free). Children are allowed in private rooms, but extra beds and baby cribs are not available. The hostel is also pet-friendly with an extra charge of 10 USD (taxes included).

We offer shuttles from one of our Selina shuttles from Selina Jaco, La Fortuna, Manuel Antonio, San Jose or Santa Teresa.
Arrival by airplane
Selina Tamarindo has two nearby airports: Liberia and Tamarindo. Liberia Airport is about 1.5 hours away from Tamarindo. Take a Selina shuttle or a private transfer. From the Tamarindo airport, you can hop into a taxi for about 10 USD. Uber isn’t available in the area.
Arrival by bus
If you want to ride by bus, from the 7/10 bus terminal in San Jose, ask for the direct bus to Tamarindo run by the Alfaro bus company (tickets start at 10 USD). This bus leaves at 11:30 AM and 3:30 PM every day. When the bus arrives to Tamarindo, the bus driver will announce the last stop – this is where you should get off. Walk straight for about 100 meters, take the first left, and continue straight for about 2 minutes. You will see the big Selina sign on your left.
Cancellation Policy
- A reservation requires a deposit of 14% of the total price.
- The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
- The rest of the payment should be paid 28 days before arrival.
