The six charmingly designed rooms are set within a lush tropical garden, along a natural clear sparkling pool with a deck for sunbathing and an open spaced café / bar to enjoy daily breakfast, some snacks, or fresh juice.
The large communal area is dedicated to meeting, making new friends, telling stories, playing games, and interacting with the tribe. The rooms are carefully decorated with attention to detail and equipped with all a surfer needs for a comfy stay. Furnishings and decors are all handcrafted and made of recycled boat timber and driftwood.
The spaces are perfectly laid out for couples, friends, or single travelers with expectations for a comfy and social stay. Seaside Tribe - Boutique Surf Stay will host you doesn't matter if you are a beginner surfer or already experienced.
Seaside Tribe - Boutique Surf Stay doesn't have any shared room options at this moment, you only share if you book together with your partner / travel buddy. Their rooms are all private and equipped with a large double-bed. Book it for 1 person as a private, or for 2 person as a double room.
Choose between their two room types. The Dreamer's Cabin is perfect for single travelers or couples who like it dreamy and cozy. The Drifter Suite is a bit more spacious and also has a corner sofa in the room.
They know that a good rest is important to be fully energized for the next day of surfing and exploring, so they make sure to provide high quality bedding as well as foam pillows. Rooms are appointed with a king-sized bed (180x200 centimeters), air-conditioner, walk-in closet, safety box, private veranda, and a tropical en-suite semi-outdoor bathroom.

A typical day
Most mornings, you wake up early and you’ll find sleepy, friendly faces in the common area snacking on bananas and fresh coffee, ready for a morning of surfing. Of course, the time depends on the swell and the tide, but Seaside Tribe let you know the day before (unless you’ve decided to take a day to sleep in!).
You’ll make the most of the waves, surfing until you are tired and happy, usually stopping for a refreshing young coconut on the beach or some Nasi Campur (delicious mixed rice!) from the Warung.
If your session has been filmed, you’ll come back and watch the video together, sharing tips and tricks on how to improve your technique for the next surf session. From there, it’s up to you! You can laze by the pool, take a nap in your room, enjoy some food together in the common area, or head out to explore the beautiful areas surrounding Kedungu.
There will be no activities on the arrival and departure day. Some nights, Seaside Tribe offers family dinners that you can choose to come to (or not). The most important thing in a typical day at Seaside Tribe is that you feel at home. Seaside Tribe can’t wait to welcome you!
How the surf sessions are organized?
Seaside Tribe usually surfs at the home break (Kedungu Beach) or in the approximate area. If you are looking for a surf camp that is driving to lots of different spots every day, they might not be your best choice, as they prefer it chilled and local.
But sometimes, if conditions are not so good in the area, they will travel to other spots. The team will make sure to choose the best time for surfing, therefore they can set the time only one to two days in advance.
The surf lessons are group classes but to guarantee a safe and efficient learning environment, the team always teaches with a 2:1 student-to-instructor ratio. And as every person's ability is individual, they divide lessons into different levels. The sessions will take 1.5 - 2 hours in the water, the time in the water depends on your physical condition, however is limited to 2 hours maximum.
Surf spot
The main surfing point of Kedungu Beach is an easy, mellow reef break with a left- and right-hand wave. On smaller days, perfect for longboarding or cruising your fish tail board, on bigger days, it can show some size and create fun waves for the more advanced. There are also some other spicy waves around for the ones who dare to explore a bit more.
To the left, they have the Kedungu Playground, a more shallow inlet close to the shore well protected from bigger waves and strong currents, perfect for learners and the ones who want to build confidence.
Overall, Kedungu is a great beach for learners, intermediate, or advanced surfers who like a laid-back atmosphere. Also with warm water and nearly year round sunny weather, Bali is the perfect place to start your surfing journey.

Seaside Tribe invites you to their friendly neighborhood of Kedungu Beach – authentic village life, spectacular rice field views, and unspoiled black sand beaches with waves for any level of surfer are what the stretch of coast here in Bali has to offer.
Waves at the home break are mostly gentle and quite easy, but there are also some spicy waves around close by or on days with higher swell. Most of the spots you surf are semi-reef-breaks, which means they have rocky bottoms mixed with sandy sections.
The beginner surf lessons are held in a more shallow inlet close to shore well protected from bigger waves and strong currents. The important thing is that you know how to swim and you are able to put your head underwater for a few seconds.
For kids below 10 years, Seaside Tribe recommends that you book a private 1:1 package. Surf board rental covers the time of the surf lesson only.

What's better than sharing stories and a meals around a big table after a long day of surfing? In their open lounging area, they make sure everyone is well fed every day.
The Seaside Tribe team will serve daily one breakfast / brunch which you can choose from the menu and 4 nourishing community dinner per week (mostly local homecooked but sometimes also western foods). Community dinner is every Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. With any booking, Seaside Tribe offers a free flow of drinking water, Bali coffee, and tea in the mornings.
They can cater to almost all dietary requirements, simply let them know upon booking. Their basic menu consists of mainly vegetarian and vegan meals, many are gluten-free too. They source only the best and freshest products for you. At dinner or BBQ nights, they do serve meat, fish, or seafood as well.
Don’t forget that they do not only serve their own delicious home-cooked food, but they do restaurant visits, Cocktail's, or Pizza-Nights together as well.

If you arrive later than 19:00 in the evening, Seaside Tribe recommends using their airport pick-up service. Otherwise, you can also arrive at the venue after ordering one of the online taxis here in Bali (book them via the app, there is Go-Jek, Grab, or BlueBird Taxi available).
