Nestled at the base of rainforested mountains on the bank of the Baru River in Dominical, Costa Rica, Danyasa Yoga Center provides a sanctuary for living artfully in nature. It is a boutique yoga retreat center with a focus on providing you with everything you need to explore both the wonders of Costa Rica’s abundant nature as well as the wonders of your inner landscape. You will stay in a shared room at the Danyasa Yoga Center. The Danyasa Yoga Center offers an intimate eco-accommodation experience. The rooms qualify as truly eco-friendly because they were created out of beautifully refurbished (up-cycled) cargo containers. Also, the center uses only the most eco-friendly soaps, detergents, and cleaning products.
The king rooms have the option of a king bed plus a single bed or three single beds. All rooms have private bathrooms and showers and offer air-conditioning, free Wi-Fi, free filtered water, access to shared decks, a lounge area, and a fully equipped kitchen. They also have a balcony, an in-safe room, and will provide towels.
You will have breakfast and head out for the day, beginning with planting trees, sometimes mango trees and other times cacao (aka chocolate). As you plant trees, you will get to connect to the soil and strength your connection to your root chakra and Mother Earth. In this activity, it is a great way to leave your intentions in Costa Rica to continue growing for years and years even after you return back home as well as giving back to Mother Earth for traveling. You will go forest bath next to the waterfall and smother yourself in the dirt and blue clay to detox your skin and then jump into the swimming holes to rise off! Afterwards, you will have a fruity picnic lunch near the water's edge.
This retreat will be held at the Danyasa Yoga Center in Dominical, Costa Rica, located in the Southern Osa Peninsula. Most everything you need can be easily gotten in Dominical, with amenities such as a health food store with over 100 organic fruits and vegetables as well as natural products, an artisan market, a bank, a variety of stores, and several grocery stores.
