What was once an active traditional farmhouse is now transformed into a surfer's haven. Stoke Surf House is uniquely situated in one of Europe's most stunning nature reserves, Pagoeta, with panoramic views overlooking the North Atlantic Ocean and basque countryside. The new surf house offers a hub for like-minded travelers from all around the world to surf the picture-perfect summer waves of Playa de Zarautz. Your accommodation will be in a dorm room of Stoke Surf House.
The surf house's doors are open to all levels of surfers. Never touched a surfboard in your life? The surf instructors will have you on your feet and high riving your mates in no time. On the other hand, if you are already a shredder, the instructors will be able to advise you on the best breaks, hook you up with a board if you need it, and make sure you get shacked before your afternoon siesta. The surf lessons are taken on local, beginner-friendly beach in Zarautz, with transport to and from the surf house on San Sebastian Surf Camp’s own bus.
During the surf camp, you can also experience all of the weekly activities and adventures and enjoy all the great things Basque Country has to offer.
The camp is located in Pagoeta Nature Reserve in the town of Aia, in the hills behind Zarautz surf beach. The location provides the best of both worlds with close proximity to beautiful San Sebastian town and the beach with the freedom to retreat to your surf house in the hills for some peace and quiet as well. The home is just a short deviation from the beaten track, only 20 minutes from the hustle and bustle of San Sebastian city and easily accessible by train or San Sebastian Surf Camp’s private daily shuttle.
Daily healthy homemade breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be served for you during the surf camp. All dietary requirements can be catered for on request.
San Sebastian Surf Camp provides free transfers from San Pelaio station in Zarautz at 9 a.m., 1 p.m., and 7 p.m. It is important to inform them which one you would like to jump on ahead of time, make sure to send San Sebastian Surf Camp an inquiry when booking. If you are unable to make it for the last 7 p.m. free transfer, please call or email San Sebastian Surf Camp to arrange to pick up.

Alternatively, you can also book your flight to arrive at Bilbao Airport (BIO) or Biarritz Pays Basque Airport (BIQ). Check out Ryanair, Easyjet, and Vueling for cheap deals, there’s always plenty of cheap deals.
If you fly to San Sebastián Airport (EAS), take bus E21 or E23 bus from the airport to San Sebastian which runs about every 30 minutes. Then, get off at the Amara bus stop. From here, cross the road and jump on the Euskotren. Head to San Pelaio train station and make sure you let San Sebastian Surf Camp know when to come and collect you from Zarautz.
If you fly to Bilbao Airport (BIO), you can take a bus that leaves hourly from the airport and jump on your pre-arranged pickup from there. Or, you can catch the Euskotren to San Pelaio station in Zarautz and jump on your pre-arranged pick up from there.
If you fly to Biarritz Pays Basque Airport (BIQ), you can take a French SNCF train to Hendaye, change to the nearby Euskotren station (located just outside the SNCF station) and take a Euskotren to San Pelaio station in Zarautz for your pickup. Each train ride is between 30 - 40 minutes, with the total train trip costing less than 10 EUR.
The train station in the center of San Sebastian offers connections to numerous Spanish cities including Madrid and Barcelona and to international destinations such as Paris and Lisbon. If you arrive by Renfe train, jump on the Euskotren to San Pelaio station.
There is also an underground railway, Metro Donostialdea, a train connection with Bilbao and cities along the Basque coast such as Zarautz. The service also links Hendaye (France) and the SNCF, French rail service, with Lasarte passing through Donostia. You can catch this train to San Pelaio station in Zarautz from Bilbao.
