Want to put some adventure surf travel into your world while taking your surf skills to the next level? Safari Surf Adventures is offering their spring 2018 Australia trip to Noosa Heads. This will be their flagship ‘Surf Pride’ surf camp, to help celebrate and support friends and surfers in the LGBT community. The trip is open to all and will run the same as any Safari Surf Adventures' surf camp, but is aimed to provide a comfortable, open, and progressing environment for all of you to concentrate on your surfing. The goal is to accelerate your learning curve across the spectrum of the surf lifestyle to become a confident and skillful surfer. This, in combination with complimentary surf stretching, surf fitness, and breathing techniques, will offer you unrivaled progression and improvement as well as film and photo footage of yourself.
Safari Surf Adventures has selected a fantastic surf house in Noosa based on their local knowledge of the breaks and area. The property has plenty of space and fantastic facilities to make it an ideal hub from which to run the Safari Surf Adventures' surf program. Relax in comfort, socialize with your fellow camp-mates, and fully recharge for the next day’s surfing!
You’ll love the space that this property provides, with breathtaking ocean views of Sunshine Coast and a large private pool. A short walk down the hill is Sunshine Coast, providing local waves if the conditions are right. The perfect cozy surf-house to complement your performance surf program.
Your Safari Surf Adventures surf coaching program will be led by an experienced and passionate local team. They will guide you to level appropriate waves and employ the unique Safari Surf Adventures' training curriculum in and out of the water. A key component of the teaching philosophy is video and photo reviews, helping to track your progress and giving you focussed goals to work on throughout the program. All progress tracking, photos, and videos Safari Surf Adventures takes of you are yours to take home at the end of your surf adventure, giving you a great reference for continued progression whenever and wherever you surf. Safari Surf Adventures' unique program focuses on the following principles for success.
Relatively remote equals less crowding and more wave opportunities for you. You need consistent wave repetition.
Point break type of waves are essential to actually feel, read, and surf a wave correctly. Being able to slow things down on a long drawn out wave will, in itself, open a trove of knowledge which will translate into a higher level of surf performance for you.
Educating you in the proper yoga / surf stretching before and after you surf to improve overall flexibility and strength which in turn helps progress your surfing.
For most intermediate level surfers, the major roadblock to advancing your skill is in your head. Blending breath work - learning how to control your breath in uncomfortable situations, building a core mental approach to situations in the surf that once had you handcuffed will unleash your potential not only in surfing but also in all stress type situations in life.
There is no substitute for video analysis to help you understand your shortcomings and progress your surfing. SSA has invested in the best (and most expensive) video analysis software in the industry. Having a coach walk you through your video clips is priceless when it comes to advancing your surf skill.
The best watermen and women, trained surf coaches with you every step of the way, in the water and on land. Providing instant “live” feedback is essential in expediting and developing your confidence and your development.
Safari Surf Adventures has teamed up with many current and former pro surfers who endorse our program. Don’t be surprised if a pro surfer pops in on your camp to be a guest coach providing you invaluable feedback on your surfing and hang with you for the event!
This vacation includes a visit to the national parks and heading into town for shopping and local arts and crafts.
Noosa is a world-famous surf destination known for its expansive beaches and colorful bays. Apart from being one of Australia’s most fashionable resort towns, Noosa is located within the Noosa Biosphere Reserve, a UNESCO-recognized area famous for its high biodiversity. Surf the crystalline waters fringed by subtropical rainforest before relaxing in this health-focused hub. While the designer boutiques, classy restaurants, and canal-side villas of Noosa draw the beach-elite sophisticates, the beach and bush are free, leading to a healthy intermingling of urbane fashionistas and surf lifestyle. This adventure hub has long been a favorite for Australia’s surf community, but the stunning beaches, lakes, national parks, and the lush hinterland of the Shire offer an unrivaled depth to any Noosa surf pilgrimage.
