Testimonials

  • Review by Anthony

"Better late than never but I stayed here a few years ago and it was perfection. Clean rooms, nice, and quiet. Every morning I would sit out on the balcony and watch the monkeys jump around from tree to tree while sipping on coffee and eating fresh fruit. Took a surf lesson from Nico and caught my first wave ever! I would definitely stay here again."

  • Review by Sophia from Stuttgart, Germany

"Rumbo is a very good quiet place especially for couples. The rooms are basic but with everything you need (bed, a/c, kitchen). If there is a problem the host Matias fixes it. He is very helpful in everything and has good recommendations for surfing schools and restaurants. The rooms are cleaned twice a week. The gardener looks also to keep the place clean. Hummingbirds are frequent visitors in the garden and monkeys climb the nearby trees. "

"Everything about this place was as presented. 100 yards from a great beach that has waves for beginners to advanced surfers. You can rent a surf board from right across the street. Great rooms that are super clean. There are 4 rooms on the property, all are excellent. The staff is helpful and friendly. And the little town is awesome. Really no complaint at all."

  • Review by Traveler from London, United Kingdom

"Stayed with my girlfriend, initially for 2 nights, but we had to squeeze a third in. The room: really spacious, a comfy bed, hammock and chairs on the patio, everything you could ask for - big fridge, air con, good shower, safe, tv, stereo, kitchenette, stools, even scales. Right near the best surf beach in town. Super excellent value for money. The host: Nico is an ultra friendly, happy, cool guy who couldn't do enough for us. We'll miss him and hope to be back someday. Santa Teresa: we fell in love with this place, our favourite of the few places we visited in Costa Rica. The surf is good, the people so friendly, welcoming and inclusive, and the vibe super cool and relaxed. Paradise. Booking Rumbo's was the best thing we could have done. We can't wait to go back... it's only a matter of time until we do."
