What to expect
On this holiday, they base themselves on the best beaches for learning to surf in Portugal. Luxurious accommodations with fabulous rooms, delicious nutritious food, and spa access are always included. Ride on Retreats provides the opportunity to learn a new sport in a small friendly group. Aimed at beginners, the holiday is perfect for trying a new sport on a relaxed and fun group holiday. Most of the guests have never tried surfing before joining them so that is no problem. Come alone, with a family member, or friend and you will always be made very welcome by experienced and enthusiastic hosts.
A typical day
- Breakfast - Wake in the morning to beautiful Portuguese sunshine enjoy a delicious nutritious breakfast prepared by the in-house chef
- Surf or SUP - Fantastic instructors will then arrive to take the group to the best surfing beach and you will have a great morning two-hour surf or SUP lesson.
- Beach lunch - Between the surf and SUP sessions, you will enjoy a healthy tasty picnic lunch on the beach lovingly prepared by the retreat chef.
- Surf or SUP - After relaxing, you will then enjoy another surf or SUP lesson at the same beach or venture to another.
- Afternoon relaxing - After activities, you return for tea and cakes, relax at the villa, and enjoy the pool and spa facilities or just chill, read, and sunbathe.
- Yoga - Jodi will guide you through a relaxing Restorative Yin yoga session, stretch out, and soothe your post-surf or SUP muscles.
- Dinner - The in-house chef will prepare the delicious two-course dinner served in the villa with wine and beer and you will eat together as a group sharing stories of the day's adventures.
