The bay on the north-western coast of Bali’s Bukit Peninsula may have received the most of the mainstream attention as the area became famous when Julia Roberts was trying to find herself in the self-empowering movie “Eat, Pray, Love.” Padang Padang’s endless supply of perfect waves, however, is the main reason why surfers from all around the world gather up in this part of Bali. Luckily, legendary Padang Padang has been kept somewhat secretive to be enjoyed by the surf community only. You can still surf the renowned waves all year round, in peace and surrounded by untouched nature. Depending on your level, you can choose between Padang Padang Left or its more mellow cousin; Padang Padang Right. You can also rent a scooter and visit another surf spot or explore Bali’s breathtaking scenery.

Rapture Surfcamps Padang Padang is a great place to hang out and relax. Come and get to know the Bali surf accommodations! The surf resort is built in traditional Balinese style and offers spacious dorms, luxury villas, and private bungalows.
Surrounded by beautiful Balinese gardens and fitted with numerous lounges to relax in, the camp accommodates up to 25 people. They offer a variety of rooms for every budget that provide you with everything you need during your stay – from A/C and mosquito nets to flat screen TVs with DVD player and open bathrooms with showers or bathtubs.
After surfing, you can hang out in one of the chill out areas, have a dip in the refreshing pool or challenge a camp mate for a game of pool. In addition to that, they have a TV area where you can watch inspiring surf movies on a quiet night in. You can also rent a bike to visit another surf spot or explore Bali’s breathtaking scenery. Furthermore, you’re never far away from Bali’s best surfing beaches.

- Check-in at Rapture Surf Camp surf camp in Bali is until 22:00.
- If you arrive after this hour, Rapture Surf Camp has a pick-up service from the airport, so their driver can show you to your room.
- If you arrive by yourself after 22:00, the security guard can show you your room too.
Location
Surf Padang Padang is as famous for its natural beauty as it is for its legendary surf. The entrance is unique having to follow steps down, from the cliffs rising above. An idyllic, white sand beach stretching for over 120 meters welcomes you. Also, steep surrounding rocks and lush greenery will make you feel sheltered during your session. Large volcanic boulders and the sandy beach add to its exotic flavor. It is an ideal place to learn how to surf and/or to improve your surf technique.
While Padang Padang Left may be a break for the more advanced surfers, Padang Padang Right on the same beach is very gentle and welcoming to beginners and intermediates looking to progress. Close to Padang Padang, you find other stellar surf spots like Bingin, Uluwatu, Impossibles, and Dreamland. Also, the camp is only 3 kilometers to the north of the famous Uluwatu Temple.

Rapture Surf Camp offers daily breakfast and dinners from Tuesdays to Saturdays. They cook typical Balinese dishes during the week. Over the weekend, they usually have Balinese food with a western twist!
Camp chefs Sunny and Made will make sure your taste buds are buzzing with local and international flavours. They create delicious dinner menus, both for omnivores and vegetarians.

Directions from the airport
- Come out of the airport and travel along Jalan Ngurah Rai.
- At the first roundabout, turn right to Jalan Bypass Ngurah Rai until the traffic lights, there should be a McDonalds on your right.
- Turn right to Jalan Raya Kampus Unud, follow the road until you see a left turn to Jalan Raya Uluwatu Pecatu.
- Turn right on to Jalan Labuan Sait, stay on this road for a couple of kilometers until you see a Rapture sign on the right-hand side and a Cuban restaurant on the left.
- Turn right and after 200 meters, you will arrive at Rapture Surfcamp Padang.
