Testimonials

  • Review by A traveler from Luxembourg

"I sincerely recommend you staying at Rapture SurfCamp Bali- Cliff, the location and each member of the staff, surf instructors included would make your stay unforgettable. The really good atmosphere of the camp and the kindness of all the staff (not one single exception while they are so numerous) make easy for any visitor to feel like at home and naturally triggering their desire to contribute to the nice atmosphere. My only problem with this camp is that I was tired of being so happy in three consecutive weeks- haha! It could have been worse. "

"I have visited Rapture SurfCamp about 7 times over the past five years and have loved all my moments here! Both locations are great. Padang Padang camp is central and with a more upbeat vibe and Bali Cliff is beautiful and relaxing. The staff and surf coaches are incredibly friendly, fun and helpful and make the entire experience one not to be missed. I highly recommend a couple of lessons if you're just getting started, and if you're a more serious surfer stick with your guide for best results. After a full day, usually two sessions, of surfing, you can choose between beers by the pool, a massage or afternoon yoga in the gorgeous yoga shalas. They also have scooters for rent so you can take off on adventures and go exploring or find the perfect sunset spot. This is the perfect blend of holiday and adventure, and far exceeds my expectations, and the expectations of many of my friends I have brought with me over the years, of what a surf camp is like. Hope you love your stay here as much as I have, I'm literally moving in!"

"This place was the perfect place to unwind from everything. Great location with a short 5 min drive to Uluwatu to check-out the sunset at Single Fin - but far enough away from all the chaos of the busier tourist areas like Kuta and Seminyak. Staff were so friendly - Sunny is a great chef and masseuse. Best surf instructor was Inglay - he actually gave some great tips on how to improve your surf technique. The others just push you on the wave and hope for the best. I will definitely be coming back next winter"

"I stayed at Rapture Cliff for 18 days in total, to begin with I have planned to stay 11 but I just could not leave so ended up staying for one more week. The camp it self is amazing, I stayed in the dorm which did not look like a dorm at all. Felt more like luxury hotel. The staff were amazing, instructors amazing, the people who stayed at the camp were amazing. Had the best time!! These days really opens my eyes for surfing and I feel like I have to go back to this wonderful place!!!"

  • Review by Adam G from Townsville

"Initially I wasn't sure about doing a surf camp in Bali due to the fact I had only surfed once or twice before. However after 1 week at Rapture (Padang Padang Camp) I was extremely pleased with my decision to book there. When I was there, they broke the surfers up into Beginners and Intermediate/Pro. The instructors are great. They have a great sense of humor and will help push you onto the waves. The intermediates also seemed happy as they were taken to different breaks with bigger waves. The camp is friendly and the staffs are very welcoming. Although it is a little more expensive than some other surfing options in Bali, I highly recommend Rapture. Even if you do not want to surf every day, the camp is set up so you can chill by the pool all day and order Bintang's until your hearts desire ;). Most people staying at the camp were looking to extend their stay - however I couldn't due to work. I will be back though! Room Tip: Grab a room with air conditioning if you find it hard to sleep in warmer temperature."

  • Review by a traveler from London, UK

"Was my very first surf camp and decided to book on my own. A lot of people were doing the same thing, and it was easy to quickly make friends. The staff was super nice, the place clean and the food amazing and in quantity! Great surf instructors help me get on the board rapidly. And obviously amazing location, with bars and beaches just minutes away."

"Just awesome, came in at night with a delay and got a free pizza & beer! Everyone is just so relaxed and that makes you forget everything in combination with the beautiful waves. The instructors are very nice but sometimes they can be a bit lazy! But overall very good, gave me some nice pointers on how to get better. Would definitely come back."
