Zion Beach House, directly located at the beach called Playa de Manzanillo, is supposed to especially attract people who like to chill at a lonely beach or are keen on water sports. Besides watersports like kitesurfing, they provide Spanish courses and tours in and around Cartagena as well. The evening programs are filled with barbecues, poker tournaments, and other fun activities, so guests never get bored.
Dorms and private rooms have a balcony with an amazing sea view and a nice breakfast is included in every booked night. All rooms are equipped with air-conditioners and have their own bathroom.

Program
Get on that kitesurf board in 10 hours. Pure Kitesurf has the newest equipment from CORE (Germany) and the best instructors (some IKO-certified). You complete the hours in five days.
In the first lesson, you get to know the equipment, security systems, and maneuvers of the kite on the beach. Already in the second hour, you will go into the water, where you learn body drag, more kite handling, and the relaunch.
Approximately in the fourth hour, Pure Kitesurf gives you the board, and usually after 10 hours, you know how to do the water start and ride on both sides. IKO certification is possible if wanted.
Daily itinerary
Day 1
In the first lesson, you get to know the equipment, security systems, and maneuvers of the kite on the beach. Already in the second hour, you will go into the water where you learn body drag, more kite handling, and the relaunch.
Day 2
Lots of body drag today, launch and relaunch, and getting full control of the kite.
Day 3
Now you are ready for the board. First, some body drags with the board and then they put it on your feet.
Day 4
Many of you will already waterstart now. They get more and more confident and ride a little bit further every time.
Day 5
Waterstart and riding now, one side better than the other but kitesurf rocks.

Christina Varveris
Christina Varveris, IKO-Level2 Instructor, Swiss / Greek, got infected with the kite-virus 2007. After a language course in Cartagena, she quit her job as a journalist and moved to where it is alway hot and there is an ocean. Since March 2015 she is independent with "Pure Kitesurf".
Location
The camp will take place in Cartagena, Bolívar, Colombia. Zion Beach House is directly where the Pure Kitesurf is so you can jump from your bed onto the board.

Food
Daily breakfast is included in the price. Zion Beach House is very proud of their kitchen and their fabulous chef Benjamin. Every day, they offer a different great “menu of the day” which brings together different cuisines from all around the world. Their delicious food is what many of the guests love the most about their place.
The bar is made out of wood and local bamboo in order to give the spot a chill vibe and provide guests with a beach feeling. They offer local and imported beer as well as different cocktails like Mojitos, Caipirinhas, and Cuba Libres. They also have fresh juices, lemonades, and different soft drinks.

- Pass the bridge leading to Manzanillo del Mar
- Enter the street where Las Ramblas and the supermarket called “La Carulla” are
- Follow the street for 2 to 3 kilometers until you reach a curve where you find big signs of different hotels like Morro Eco, Melia, or Karmairi
- Turn to the right
- Go straight to the beach
- Now you already should see the “Zion” signs
- Just follow them
- In case you cannot see them, just go to the beach and from there, it is just 300 meters to the right
Arrival by taxi
Pure Kitesurf offers a taxi service from or to the city center of Cartagena or Rafael Núñez International Airport (CTG) for 25,000 COP during the day and 30,000 COP at night, which is way cheaper than the official prices, and taxi drivers will find the hostel without any problems, while random cab drivers sometimes struggle to find it.
Cancellation Policy
- A reservation requires a deposit of 70% of the total price.
- The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
- The rest of the payment should be paid on arrival.
