We pride ourselves on the quality of our surf instruction and our surf camp is for all levels of surfers. Our CPR certified and experienced instructors are dedicated to teaching you the Art of Surfing. We go beyond teaching you basic technical skills by assessing your ability and developing an individualized surf program that will take you to the next level. Our student to teacher ratio is three-to-one and you will be placed in a surf group based on your skill level and experience. By mid-week, you will have the opportunity to work one-on-one with your instructor to receive the attention you deserve.
Youll be amazed at how fast you will be up and riding waves. With many of our guests being beginners, our patient staff is well-prepared to teach you the basics of surfing: proper etiquette, water safety, wave riding skills (how to properly stand up and ride waves), and effective paddling techniques, as well as preparing you for surfing your home break.
Our qualified surf instructors will help you improve your surfing skills to achieve the next level. Your instructor will assess your skill level and implement a progressive program to strengthen your surfing game. Well focus on wave-reading and catching ability, developing greater control in slightly more challenging waves, mastering the techniques necessary to generate greater speed and connecting more fluid turns.
Our more advanced surf coaches will evaluate your surf skills and implement a progressive program to sharpen your surfing abilities. You will also have the opportunity to learn new maneuvers and learn how to maximize your rides with more speed and style.
Start each day with a deep, energizing breath and discover the many benefits of yoga. Our yoga studio was designed to embody the best that Costa Rica has to offer; an open-aired yoga dojo in a jungle setting with polished wooden floors that wrap around a Guanacaste tree, all overlooking the gorgeous Pacific Ocean. This spiritual space naturally captures the essence of yoga and will help you relax, restore and rejuvenate your body, mind and soul.
Our daily yoga classes are designed to enhance your surfing while working on core strength, stamina, flexibility, balance, and clarity of mind. Our certified yoga instructor, Cristina Kalyani, has been teaching yoga for 12 years and will base each week upon the experience level and desire of the group. Christinas rejuvenating and revitalizing yoga classes consist of a variety of yoga practices including Vinyasa flow, Hatha, Swasthya, and Kundalini. Whether youre a seasoned yogi or newcomer to the practice, youll soon discover the many benefits yoga has on your surfing and your life.
Our retreats are situated in the scenic village of Malpais on the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. Expansive beaches and tropical rainforest surround Malpais, creating fascinating landscapes, stunning views and unforgettable sunsets. The area has been compared with Maui 50 years ago. From the moment that you arrive in Malpais, youll know that you have discovered a very special place. The gorgeous beaches are uncrowded, the ocean is warm, the locals are friendly, and there are monkeys swinging from the trees. You can find secret waterfalls with warm water pools surrounded by jungle canopy, and surf spots with no one there.

"Thank you for expanding my horizons as a surfer. I have always loved the ocean, but this experience has truly changed my perspective. Hopefully soon I will be tearing up the Jersey shore. Thank you for being so wonderful and attentive this week! Now, if only I could master the art of enjoying a cerveza and surfing at the same time."
