Point Break Watersport Center is located in the center of the beautiful Corralejo, the northeast of Fuerteventura, Spain. The residence consists of different apartments, all overlooking the communal pool. All apartments feature a lounge with a kitchenette, bedroom, bathroom, and everything necessary for living and cooking. The place is ideal for those who want to surf, kitesurf, practice SUP, and windsurf.

The course is divided into two days of training and includes theoretical training, practice, and practice on the beach in water. Once you arrive at the school, you will choose the correct measurement of the equipment from the trapeze, the life jacket, wetsuit, and the helmet. The quality of the equipment is crucial.

Safety, a friendly environment, and a relaxed yet very professional tuition are the cornerstones of the school. The security situation and the high technical level of the qualified instructors will make your experience on the island unforgettable.

The duration of the first day's session is three hours. In the basic course you will learn how to assemble and inflate the kite, connect the lines, and understand all the important safety systems to enjoy this wonderful sport without unnecessary risks.

You will also learn how to use the kite, maneuvering the sail on dreamy beaches, and beginning to enjoy the wind in your hands. The objective of the first day is to be independent with your kite on the beach and to know how to handle a kite correctly, knowing the exact operation.

The second day consists of three hours of instruction in a group session, with an instructor for every three students to guarantee that you have the maximum attention. The lesson will take place in the wonderful ocean of Fuerteventura, where you will get to with a boat and you will carry out the lesson directly in water.

You will start with the bodydrag exercise, where you learn how to control the kite and your body in the water. You will later figure out how to correctly retrieve your board every time without losing control of the kite.

Finally, you will learn how to make a correct water start in order to navigate to a few tens of meters. The second objective of the day is to be independent in the water, knowing how to raise the kite, how to recover the board, check kiting, and board together to ensure a secure water start.

At the end of the second day, you will know perfectly the technique for controlling a kite on the beach but especially in water. At this point you can decide whether to continue to practice with your hosts, of course, the goals will change and you will learn how to hold an edge for hundreds of meters, correct the position of the body at sea, learn to sail with only the edge of the board, and above all, learn how to ride upwind to navigate freely in any sea in the world.

As kitesurfing is a sport where you are attached to the equipment, it is important to be guided into the world of varied kite equipment. The knowledgeable staff will satisfy your needs with a wide range of accessories of first choice. The materials used for courses, entirely provided by your hosts, are of the brand Wainman, a manufacturing company of leading kitesurfing in Hawaii.

Stand up paddle boarding

The grounds surrounding the success of applied sciences are many, the first is certainly fun, because to paddle by cruising along the coast is extremely rewarding and a great workout for all those who want to keep fit. What is striking is its ductility, in fact, as it can be used for walking or to surf waves of all kinds.

Although it is well known as a means of training for many windsurfers and kitesurfers on days of no wind, and as many surfers' when the sea is flat, stand up paddling does not need prior experience in water sports to approach this wonderful sport. The strength of SUP is that its learning takes place in flat water so everyone can learn this sport safely, in perfect harmony with nature, and with very few hours of the course.

The advantage of SUP over a classic surfboard or longboard for example, is that it gives you a chance to ride smaller waves that you would not be able to ride with surfing because the boards are much larger.

The beginner SUP course is aimed at all those people who intend to learn this new discipline, who want to enjoy the beautiful nature of Fuerteventura, and make excellent outdoor fitness. The beginner level lesson of SUP consists of a theory on the beach and a practical part in the water, while the intermediate SUP course is aimed at people who have a basic knowledge of SUP and they know paddling, as well as for those who want to be carried away by this new trend with the expert instructors of Point Break.

This course aims to teach you how to have a good stability on the surfboard, achieve effective rowing, riding your first wave, and to take off to stand in a natural way. You will enjoy two days of surf lessons divided in practical and theoretical methodologies.

The practical part will consist of the warm up plus practicing in the sea, while the theoretical part will explain the characteristics of the spot, the general rules of safety, and how to respect the rules in the water. The challenge for everyone in the class is to stand up smoothly on the table.

You will be provided with all kinds of equipment appropriate to your fitness, such as a wetsuit, leash, board, and soft boots where it is needed. The aim of the course is to educate yourself regarding the equipment and put you in a position to make the right choice when buying.

In fact, Fuerteventura pursuant to its favorable tax regime, the high traffic of sports tourism, and the massive presence of artisans of surfboards is actually a great place to do a roaring trade in terms of equipment, in particular with surfing.

Instructors of Point Break are real surfers and they know all the secrets of the island of Fuerteventura. It is very important to arrive on the spot at the right time, the ocean is not the same as the sea, so studying wind and tide conditions is part of the daily routine, same as the choice of the spot.

Choosing the right spot is a precise science, wind, tide, and direction of the storm in this island can make the difference between an ordinary day of surfing or an unforgettable one. The lessons will be followed by a professional photographer so that at the end of your course you will get beautiful souvenir photos of your first experience with surfing.
