Moreover, the building is equipped with a large grill area with a wood-fired oven for pizza nights or low cooked fresh fish.

There is a lot of outside space for games or group activities such as a pool table, a slackline, and dozens of hammocks for after-surf naps. There is also a large pool for cooling down from the hot Ecuadorian sun and for duke diving tutorial. You can also have Wi-Fi access during your stay.

This surf camp is for you:

  • If you have never surfed before but you love the ocean
  • If you surf already but want to improve your surf technique and style
  • If you want to learn how to read the ocean to catch more good long waves
  • If you like the real simple surf lifestyle
  • if you are between 18 to 50 years old

The surf lesson will be divided into 2 programs depending on your level.

A surfer has born (level 1)

This level is for you who have never surfed before or are in the beginning stages of surfing. You will be going to learn several things during this surf trip as follows:

  • Basic surf techniques and knowledge such as proper paddling, stand up on the board on time, reading and choosing the right wave, and going left or right
  • Swell direction and best condition for general surfing, offshore and onshore wind, low tides and high tides, and much more
  • Surfboard types and how to use them

I’m obsessed with surfing (level 2)

This level is good for you who have enough experience of surfing and paddling on your own but waves and the wash water are giving you a hard time. You will be going to learn several things during this surf trip as follows:

  • Intermediate surf techniques and knowledge such as power paddling, getting through broken waves easier, surfing long waves before breaking, and reading as well as understanding waves
  • Tips for basic turn and tricks
  • Swells directions, best conditions for surfing, offshore and onshore wind, tides, and much more
  • Surfboard and fin types, and how as well as when to use them

Yoga and meditation

Daily yoga and meditation will be available at your will. However, yoga builds strength, balance, and flexibility which any surfer will tell you as the key elements in surfing. Pata Sudaka wants you to improve your surfing as well as your life. So, this trip offers a unique chance to do that by maximizing the benefits of surf and yoga.

The giving back program

Ayampe Paz Verde foundation has a reforestation and education program called the Coconut Education Program. Pata Sudaka believes that it is very important to give back to the land that has given so much. So, to give back to the local community and to enjoy the love of the simple life with them, Pata Sudaka helps the organization that takes care of the reforestation in Ayampe.

Pata Sudaka gives back to this land by offering you the opportunity to join planting endemic plants in the town. One of these endemic plants is a very special variety of coconut palm that only grows 3 meters that make it very easy to grab a coconut. However, the most important thing is helping educate future generations to understand the importance of nature and how to make it thrive.

Daily program

This will be your daily program but it doesn’t mean you must follow it. You can surf anytime you want and whenever you want it. Moreover, the plan can change depending on the weather or surf conditions. All of the workshops will be optional but you will be interested in learning how to make a Ceviche. Every day, morning snack will be served at 06:30 to 07:30. Breakfast will be served at 09:30 to 10:30 while lunch will be ready at 13:30.
