Staying in a camp does not mean renouncing comfort, it is living a unique experience and feel free and connected with nature. This surf camp is a small settlement formed by tents, tents for meetings and activities, chill-out, hammocks, banks, and common areas. The accommodation is in luxurious tents type tepee or similar, fully furnished with bed, comfortable mattress, pillow, and wardrobe to store your valuables. You only need to bring a sleeping bag and towel.



Surfing a wave is a unique sensation that cannot be explained in words. It fills you with energy and you just feel good. At this school, Oyambre Surf will teach you everything you need to know about surfing and the ocean. Oyambre Surf School teaches introductory and advanced classes in small groups. Classes last two hours and consist of a small bit of theory followed by practical learning in the sea where you will be continuously accompanied in the water by the instructors who will help you learn and keep you safe.

The instructors are experienced surfers. As instructors certified by the Cantabrian Surfing Federation and as Spanish Lifesaving and first Aid graduates, they know the best place to be to catch the best waves.

Oyambre Surf is located in one of the best places for surfing on the coast of Spain and in Europe. From the privileged position, Oyambre Surf always looks for the best waves depending on the sea conditions, the weather and the level of the students. Oyambre Surf usually surfs on the beaches of Oyambre and San Vicente (Merom) but don’t lack surprise trips to other lesser known surf spots.

Whether you want to learn or want to improve your surfing, in this school, you will find the best coaches with the methodology and personalized teaching at your level. In this surf camp, you can choose between different options offered, classes for beginners, intermediate, and advanced. Also surf on your own if you prefer.


Surfskate is the best training out of the water to learn and improve your surfing. Making movements similar to those you do in the water. Concerts, parties and cultural visits.

Oyambre Surf is located in the heart of the natural park, on the west coast of the Community of Cantabria, one of the most beautiful and less crowded on the north coast of Spain. Oyambre is 55 kilometers from Santander, 40 kilometers from the Picos de Europa, three kilometers from Comillas and five kilometers from San Vicente de la Barquera. Oyambre Surf School is 20 meters from the beach, opposite the beach car park and next to the entrance of Oyambre Beach Campsite.

Oyambre Natural Park

The Oyambre Natural Park is a paradise, an oasis in northern Spain. It is quiet, semi-virgin, and away from the crowds of cities and crowded tourist towns. It’s a place to live in direct contact with nature. A paradise where you can surf in addition to sightseeing, enjoying nature, gastronomy, other sports, relaxing and exploring nearby villages.

Oyambre was declared a Natural Park in 1988 for its great ecological value, beauty, and condition. There are a variety of fauna and flora, both terrestrial and marine ecosystems and different dunes, beaches, marshes, cliffs, forests.

You are what you eat and Oyambre Surf believes in it. Cantabria and the north of Spain are famous for its gastronomy, here you will be able to enjoy the healthy and delicious food. All the offers include breakfast and you can choose between half board or full board. Special food for vegetarians, vegans, and celiacs. You will also have a small kitchen to use.

Things to do (optional)


SUP is one of the oldest modes of crossing the sea and has already been used in Polynesia for centuries to move from island to island. Over the years this method was developed to be used for catching waves. Nowadays it has become a popular sport that raises passions and engages all who try it. The great appeal of SUP is that it is accessible to everyone because it is relatively easy, you learn very quickly and can enjoy it from day one. It is one of the most complete sports as it works the entire body and awakens the senses.

Classes are two hours long and consist of a small bit of theory and then practice time in the water accompanied by the instructors who will help you to learn. The instructors are experienced SUPers, qualified surf and SUP instructors by the Cantabrian Surfing Federation and Spanish, SUP Instructors by I.O.SUP. And lifeguard and first aid graduates.
