Tjasa has been practicing and studying the teachings of yoga for over two decades. She has trained in dynamic Vinyasa, Hatha, and more recently Yin yoga. For her, yoga is a way of connecting to the divine, finding stillness, staying in the present, feeling grounded, and balanced. She holds a certificate in plant-based nutrition through e-Cornell and believes that yoga combined with plant-based lifestyle leads to vibrant health, wellness, and compassion on the planet. She is also nature and lifestyle photographer, specializing in yoga photography.
For many years Alja has been traveling the world and pursuing her biggest dream - surfing. Along the way, as a complementary practice to her surfing, she found yoga. Recently she decided to take her yoga practice to the next level and she finished yoga teacher training with emphasis on vinyasa yoga. She teaches challenging and dynamic flow yoga and pranayama.

"Yoga and relaxing"
Yoga on the beach was a perfect compliment to the relaxed island vibe alongside surfing. Tjasa was extremely accomodating finding me a surf instructor and arranged some beautiful walks on the mountains/beach and evening cooking lessons. I had a great stay and was rest assured having been given all the local information. The yoga classes were inspiring and am so grateful to have chosen such nice people to share some time and holiday with!

The whole week was brilliant. We had a massage which lasted for 1 hour plus 7 yoga classes - 6 on the beach and one in the sand dunes. Tjasa is a brilliant teacher - very patient and showed options for a variety of levels so it does not matter if you are not a yoga expert!
Tjasa was very professional. Classes started punctually and lasted for around 1 hour 15 mins each. She also gave us tips about other activities which were available and suggested places to eat and took us on a volcano trek one evening. Her local knowledge was very helpful as it was our first visit to the area.
The apartment was in a very nice complex with excellent pool and garden. Nice and quiet.

I had a chilled and relaxing holiday at Ocean Yoga just 2 weeks ago in July 2017. I had a quick browse at all the other reviews on this page from 2016 and have to say that Tjasa standard is still exceptional! Tjasa has been extremely helpful in answer all questions from her love for Yoga and Corralejo. Tjasa is on time, caring and a lovely soul! She cares!
I traveled on my own and I stayed at the Oasis Tamarindo. It's a very beautiful and quiet venue a short 15 minute walk away from the Yoga/Surf House and Hiper Dino (big shop). I also visited the fun and friendly Yoga House and Surf House as part of the main Ocean Yoga residence. They invited me for Paella, drinks and Faijatas too. Fun relaxed and likeminded people!
This Yoga Retreat allowed me to have a balance of spirituality, time alone and a bit of partying in Corralejo too (had an emergency and the owner of the Underground that totally took care of me! Was in totally safe hands!!). The self catering allowed me to continue on my diet (intermittment fasting or even the 5 2 diet). Even to this day, my weight has slowly dropped!
During my 1 week stay and as part of the package, I also participated in the beautiful 1 hour volcano walk, vegan cuisine lesson with 4 other male students and Nina, I attended 6 out of 7 yoga sessions on the beach (she even did a bonus session for the students) and 1 on the Sand Dunes, had a relaxation massage with Arson and I also did the beginner's surf lesson with Marcel!!
Lovely team from Slovenia team and Germany to make Corralejo a Holiday in Paradise!!

I had a great yoga holiday, my own private apartment was spacious and comfortable, overlooking the pools and gardens and just perfect to destress and take time for myself. I really enjoyed beach classes, but my favourite were definitely classes at the dunes. Simply peaceful and just what I needed.
I have recently returned from a holiday with Oceanyoga Fuerteventura where I had a great break. It was my first time doing yoga classes and I loved it. Tjasa is very welcoming, helpful and an excellent yoga teacher. The classes were all different and well paced. The apartments are in a great location with good facilities. Fuerteventura is a lovely island with great beaches with plenty to do for either an active or relaxing holiday. I really enjoyed my holiday and have been inspired to carry on with yoga now I am home. I would recommend this holiday.

I have just returned from a yoga holiday hosted by Tjasa from Ocean Yoga in Corralejo, Fuerventura. Even though I traveled with a friend, I practiced yoga alone with our group.
It was fantastic to wake up to blue skies and sunshine each morning and make my way to wonderful yoga sessions on the beach. Furthermore, Tjasa had organised two trips for us; a walk, yoga session and picnic among the sand dunes outside town and a group walk, snacks and meditation session, hosted by Nina, to one of the bigger volcano craters lying dormant on the island. Our accommodation was comfortable, spacious and clean. The location was ideal as we were near shops, bars and restaurants. Luckily we were not by the nightlife hub, even though a pleasant walk by the shore took us there if we were interested! Tjasa had organised a full body massage with an excellent therapist for each of us. All of the above was included in our payment. If we did wish to partake in other activities such as surfing, visiting other islands or even other fabulous island locations public transport and agencies made it easy! Tjasa was available to take any of our queries throughout our trip. This yoga holiday gave me the personal space to practice yoga, meditate and enjoy Fuerteventura independently!
I found Oceanyoga and Tjasa to be refreshingly unpretentious. The classes on the beach and in the sand dunes were so grounding and with only the sound of the sea, a gentle breeze and sometimes some interested goats spectating, it really helped me to relax, unwind and enjoy the moment.Tjasa is extremely professional and attended to every question I had. She is very accommodating for all levels of people attending her yoga classes. I stayed in the private apartment which is spacious, secluded (especially in October) and safe. The massage provided by Arsen was second to none and was so good I booked a second one during my week away. Corralejo is an unspoilt haven and you can do a day trip to other beaches nearby like El Cotillo. I literally floated home after my week away! Highly recommended!
