Join a spine-tingling and exhilarating surfing experience in Andalusia, Spain. The surfing lessons will be combined and integrated with a yoga practice to help you balance the board up when the wave hits. By the end of the week, you will be confident in the water and will have made lots of new surfing friends who share the same interests as you.
Your surf camp accommodation is based in a quiet urban neighborhood of the beachside town of Conil de la Frontera. There are two brand new clean and comfortable self-catered apartments that have a superb beach access. The apartments have fully equipped kitchens, spacious living rooms, sunny patios, and bedrooms. Within a minute of walking, you will find a great little bar with free Wi-Fi access.
Conil has a winter or spring local population of around 25,000 inhabitants which numbers swell in the tourist high season. In return, Conil hosts a thriving community of local markets selling local produce as well as a few large supermarkets that stock everything that you might need for the duration of your holiday.
Upon Arrival in Conil de la Frontera, you will be met at either the town center bus stop or the Cruce de Conil bus stop. From there, you will be taken back to your accommodation to check in. Once you have checked in, you will be briefed about the timings and the locations of the surfing lessons, all available activities during the week, and locations of all important landmarks.
After a typical Andalusian breakfast at one of many bars nearby, you will make your way down to the designated surfing beach where the morning surfing lessons will be held. After signing the booking form, you will size up for a wetsuit and then take part in yoga for a surfing session. Once down the beach, you will have a detailed introduction into safety and your equipment. You will also need to know how to:
Once you can do those things, then you may enter the water and learn three different techniques of how to stand up on board. You will then have a break for lunch on your own. You will be back in the afternoon for free surfing practice sessions without your surfing instructor.
You will start your day with breakfast before going down to the beach. You will have a yoga for surfing session on the beach and several techniques for surfing including how to paddle, stance refinement, how to dismount from the surfboard, and your pop-up choice and practice on the beach with feedback from the instructor.

You will have yoga for surfing session and several activities including catching waves out of depth (depending on the surf conditions), learning the techniques to get you out through the whitewater, paddling, and catching the green waves.
After the surfing lessons, you will go for a guided route for a tapas lunch and go for a guided bike ride around the coastal paths of Conil de la Frontera. Depending on the weather conditions and on the group, this can be moved and fitted in on other days.
You will start your day by having a breakfast before going down to the beach. After that, you will take yoga for the surfing session. For this day, you will be introduced to the board trimming in the green waves and the bottom turn. You will also learn the theory of surf etiquette, rules, and regulations. At the end, you are going to play out the realistic scenarios on the beach based on the theories.
After the afternoon free surf practice session, you will head to a yoga studio in Conil de la Frontera for 90 minutes evening lesson of Ashtanga and Mysore yoga.
On the sixth day, you will have your breakfast to start the day, then head down to the beach. Before jumping into the course, you will have your last yoga for a surfing session. After that, there will be some of the introductories about ocean safety and beach lifeguarding techniques.
Additionally, there will be an explanation about beach environment, surfboard, rescues, weather conditions, and how they affect your surfing experiences.
At the end, you will have a free surfing with the instructors during the lesson.
This is your last day practicing with the instructor and is the time to explore the local area. You can arrange a number of activities or a guided tour to Cadiz with tapas route (not available during the last week of June, July, August, and the first week in September).

The retreat will take place in Conil de la Frontera, a fantastic location in a quiet urban neighbourhood of the beachside town of Conil de la Frontera and a traditional White Washed village on the Costa de la Luz (Coast of Light) with some of the best surfing beaches in South Spain.
During the retreat, you are freed from choosing the menus you would like to have. In general, the food in Andalusia is absolutely excellent. You will eat locally produced ingredients that are seasonal. Your guides will give you the best advice of the places to eat and shops to buy your local ingredients.
At additional cost, you may love to try several activities to pay down your free time. Coastal bike riding route, horse riding routes, and Cadiz guided tour are available.

Please book your flight to arrive at Gibraltar International Airport (GIB), Malaga International Airport (AGP), or Jerez de la Frontera Airport (XRY). From those airports, you have to rent a hire car to Conil de la Frontera. Once in Conil, a representative from Oceano Surf Camps will meet you at the bus station in Conil de la Frontera.
If you arrive into Jerez de la Frontera Airport (XRY), you can catch a train direct to Cadiz. Once you have arrived in Cadiz you can then catch a bus directly to Conil de la Frontera. Once in Conil, a representative from Oceano Surf Camps will meet you at the bus station in Conil de la Frontera.
