Tropical Beach Resort Surf Camp in Indonesia Program

In this surf camp, you will go to any surf spots for your daily surf guided sessions. The surf spots include Tropicals, Yoyos, Super Sucks, and Scar Reef.

Situated in front of the resort, the spot includes a mellow left hander with different sections bowling into the inside reef, and a right hander breaking into deep channel making the ideal conditions for beginner surfers.

Located 10 minutes by car from the resort, this break consists of two distinct waves, the Wedge and the Hook. A fast right hander produces barreling and rippable sections.

Super Sucks

This needs a big swell in the right direction and good winds to work but when it does, it is one of the most technical barrels in the country. This wave is ruthless, the reef is shallow and sharp. But, if you are lucky, you can get the barrel of your life.

Scar Reef

An hour drive from the resort, this spot works on swells over 6 feet. This is a massive and powerful wave with a huge take off and long wall ride. But, this is not for the faint hearted. The inside can be dangerous but taking off on a set wave will make your day.

The surf guiding consists of taking you to the wave that fits your individual requirements on skills and desires. During the day, the guides will be constantly revising conditions to put you on the best tide and spot. When on the spot, the guides will instruct you on the best way to paddle out, where to take off, how the wave works, and other important information. Each group will have their own surf guide and transport available for the week.

This surf camp will take place at Nomad Tropical Beach Resort, located on the southern tip of West Sumbawa, in front of the most consistent left-hander in the region, named after the resort itself.
