Azores Bagus is a three-floor sunny house composed by two triple/double-room, one double-room, one private single room, one big shared room (four single beds), two shared bathrooms, a large living room / lounge area, shared fully equipped kitchen and dining room, outside chill-out area with barbecue, and a beautiful garden with banana plantation.

The instructors (ISA) will always make sure that you are feeling comfortable in the water while having an unforgettable surfing experience in this waves paradise, they will teach you in a fun, safe, and encouraging environment. They have committed instructors that want students to feel the pleasure of surfing, while enjoying the beauty of São Miguel’s Island. Their knowledge of the island also offers you information on interesting places to visit and spots to surf in the Azores.
Lessons
Surf lessons are available for everybody, no matter their level and age. Either you are a beginner or an intermediate surfer the affiliated instructors, with their certified experience, will teach you in a fun, safe and encouraging environment (video analysis available).
- Equipment: wetsuit and surfboard appropriate to each student's level
- Duration of lesson: 2 hours
- Location: the time of the lessons are not fixed as they always take place during low tide. The location is decided the day prior to each lesson to ensure the most suitable conditions
Included excursions
Daily excursion to the most suitable surf spots of the island depending on swell, wind, and tide conditions. You will be introduced to the most beautiful surfing beaches with the possibility to learn or better understand the mechanics of the waves, currents, and winds, improve your skills, and gain more self-confidence in the ocean.

Gianni Fontanesi
Gianni and Federica are an Italian couple with the passion for the ocean, the surf, and nature. Federica has a background in fashion and Gianni in scuba diving. Separated between Milan and Genoa, they decided to change their lives and to start this new adventure together. Some of their greatest ideas come from sitting in front of the sea, and for them it was during their last Indo trip at Desert Point. That's why they chose the name Bagus, which means "Good" or "Beautiful" in Bahasa Indonesia; as a way to recall where everything started with their new life here on this beautiful island.

Azores Bagus offers a relaxing and good vibes environment in a strategic location. The fusion between surf culture and passion for traveling is the concept they want to share both with surfers and adventurous nomads.
Surf
São Miguel has the greatest variety of surf spots in all the Azores. From beginners to experienced surfers, loggers to shortboard riders, you just need to choose the most suitable spot for you.

"If New Zealand and Hawaii had a baby, they would name it Azores". Also known as The Green Island, São Miguel is unlike any other destination in the world. It features beautiful lakes, sandy beaches, rolling hills, high mountains and volcanoes, green plantations, and blue ocean.
All the comforts can be found close by (restaurants, bars, supermarkets, shops) and the City of Ponta Delgada at 5 minutes drive.
The strategic location of the house allows you to cross the island south to north in only 12 minutes and to reach easily and fast all the main touristic / attractive spots of the island.

Daily breakfast is included in the price. However, the surf house has a fully equipped kitchen where you can prepare your meals and a fridge where you can store your food.
