The villa has two floors and allows a maximum occupation of ten people. Downstairs, there are four bedrooms, two of them with a bunkbed and two bathrooms. There is also a toilet upstairs. There is free Wi-Fi in all the house and cable TV in the spacious living room. Outside, there are several balconies with hammocks and puffs where you can relax after a surfing day or just chill out with a nice bottle of Portuguese wine.
Programma
During your stay, you and your surf instructors generally will leave after breakfast and drive to the best beach for the prevailing conditions (waves, wind, and more). Once you arrive at the beach, you will receive a briefing regarding safety and technique and will have a 3-hour surf lesson in total. Once it's finished and all equipment properly is stored in the vans, you will be brought back to the camp in the afternoon or in the evening.
All the equipment such as surfboard and wetsuit will be provided at no extra charge and you may use the equipment for as long as there is a surf instructor on the beach with you. However, you will not be allowed to use the equipment independently after the course.

Ricardo Gonçalves
Ricardo is a surf coach by the Portuguese Surf Federation (FPS) since 1996, managing partner of Future Surfing School since 2005, polyvalent surf coach, and mainly responsible for the surf school internal surf coaches training, founder member of the APTS (Portuguese Surf Coaches Association), and lifesaver from the Portuguese Red Cross and the Life Saving Club Great Britain.

The surf camp is located in Vila da Luz right next to the city of Lagos in the Algarve, Portugal. Everything is within walking distance: two minutes to the beach, two minutes to the nearest bars and restaurants, and five minutes to the supermarket and pharmacy.

Arrival by airplane
Please book your flight to arrive at Faro Airport (FAO), which is about a 50-minute drive from the surf camp.
Apart from Faro, you can get cheap flights to Lisbon and Seville, both of which are approximately 300 kilometers away. Jho'La Surf Camp encourages the arrival on Monday to start the surf course on Tuesday but it's not mandatory. Transfers from and to the airport are available upon request.
Arrival by bus
From Faro, you can take the bus to Lagos and then the local bus to Luz.
