For surfers, the house is conveniently located only a few steps away from two of the best surf points in Nicaragua: Panga Drops and the Colorado Pipeline. A great day of surfing ends with comfortable headquarters where you feel at home and can enjoy among your friends.

Wake up at sunrise overlooking the waves and check out directly how the surf looks, while you enjoy your cup of coffee. Choose to have breakfast at any moment, before or after your dawn surf session. After surfing all morning, you can relax and rest up while lunch is being prepared. With good conditions, there should be good waves all day with both tides. The afternoon offshore breeze provides the rest of the day with perfect conditions and you can decide where to surf with no hesitations. After your afternoon session it's time to enjoy the pool and wait for dinner while you watch some videos and make plans for the next day.

Nica Surfing has the mission to score epic waves and guarantee you are always fully satisfied. Their concept is based on maximum comfort to guarantee the enjoyment of white sand beaches and deep blue waves of the Pacific Ocean. The camp is a unique wave hunting experience. They are about surfing different breaks, depending on conditions, so you can have the broadest surf experience possible. The coastline has surf for all different levels of expertise, so it is certain you will find the right wave to have fun on and cut loose throughout your search in Nicaragua.

The Pacific coastline has an ideal position to absorb the loads of southwest swell that generates in the south Pacific. When swell reaches the coast, it is groomed by offshore wind present all day due to the large fresh water lake that makes up almost the entire southern region of Nicaragua. Most surf is encountered in beaches with sandbars or river mouths that help create these bars, but you will be amazed how good and consistent some of the breaks are. Amongst these beaches you find many points and reefs that produce the perfect recipe for incredible perfect point breaks. Although some spots have fair crowds, you can also surf pristine waves just with your friends, and keep on the go to surf the next epic spot with the changing tides.

  • Fermin

Fermin has been charging the waves in Nicaragua since 1997. Together with surf buddies Armando and Ivan, he founded NicaSurfing back in 2003. Fermin knows the coastline from top to bottom and will figure out the best potential itinerary for you, according to your needs and surf conditions. He is a law graduate and a broker, so feel free to adreess him with investment and real estate inquiries.

Nicaragua is a surfers' paradise in the heart of the Americas, situated on a privileged geographical location that is responsible for producing excellent surfing conditions. The southern region is almost entirely comprised of Lago Cocibolca, an immense lake with a span of 8624 square kilometers of fresh water, home to many incredible and unique places, such as: the island of Ometepe formed from two majestic volcanoes within the lake, an archipelago of 400 volcanic tropical islets, as well as species of fresh water bull shark (Tiburon Toro) and saw fish (Pez Sierra).

The southern Pacific coastline of Nicaragua benefits from expansive fresh water lake and absence of landmass, allowing trade winds from the Caribbean sea to accelerate and flow uninterrupted, grooming southern swells into almond-shaped barrels and clean hollow lines. Offshore wind is predominant almost the entire year in the southern region, only interrupted by storms. The Pacific coastline is a swell magnet for south-west and south hemisphere swells, which average four to eight feet, and sometimes up to 15 feet on the biggest swells.

Surf is consistent in Nicaragua almost all year long, except for December and January when there are pristine clean conditions, but swell is sporadic and calm. However, there have been years when December and January produced good North swell, and occasional South swell. Therefore, Nicaragua is never bad or out-of-surf season. One can always find fun waves if they know where to look!
