Program

Day 1

Newtours Colombia welcomes you at the Rafael Núñez International Airport (CTG) and afterward, you will check-in at the hotel. You can take part in your free surf in the afternoon to enjoy your first surf session or lesson.

Day 2 to day 3

For the next three days, you will enjoy your morning surf sessions in two hours each day. Newtours Colombia knows the area like the back of their hand and will give you the best recommendations each day. From the hotel, you will be able to go during the afternoon on different activities to enjoy the old city and nature in all its splendor.

Day 4

It is the time to pack up and travel back. You will say goodbye knowing that you have had an unforgettable trip.

Location

The camp will take place in Cartagena de Indias, Bolivar, Colombia. Cartagena de Indias, founded in 1533, was one of the three main ports of the Spanish empire in the New World. From this beautiful and historically rich port, sailed the biggest galleons in the Spanish fleet full of treasures from South America. Its streets, houses, and balconies keep the baroque architecture alive in this city from the Spanish colonial era.

For this reason, it was included on UNESCO’s world and cultural heritage list in 1984. Cartagena de Indias enjoys the most privileged location in the Americas with its location overlooking the Caribbean Sea in a beautiful bay which brings consistent surf between December and May and ideal for beginners and intermediates.

This is a place where you can combine culture and surfing. During the Hurricane season, you can expect between September and November waves get head high with some barrel sections at the Castillo Grande beach.
