Have you been dreaming of surfing the legendary waves that Morocco is so famous for? If you’ve been intimated by their notoriety before, no need to be anymore. Morocco is one of the best places on earth to progress and improve your technique in record time.

If you’re reading this, then you’ve probably grown bored of surfing in forgiving whitewater and feeling like you’ve been stuck in a rut. You need to take things up a notch, but you still require some lessons to ride your first unbroken ‘green’ waves, or some expert guidance to surf the more challenging breaks. You need to go on a surf camp in Morocco!

The stretch of coastline between Essaouira and Agadir is home to the best surf spots in the country. The laid-back coastal town of Taghazout is already synonymous to surfing in Morocco and is exposed to the straightest swell in the North Atlantic, which means world-class surfing conditions. The best time of year to be surfing here if you are a progressing surfer is between September and April.

If you’re looking for an authentic surfing holiday in Morocco that is also easy on the pocket, we hope that this article will help you make the best decision and will send you on your way to shredding the waves.
