You will be staying in comfortable hostels or surf camps and tent is possible in more remote areas.
My Surf Camp - Peru will pick you up from Jorge Chávez International Airport (LIM) and transfer you to Punta Hermosa. You will surf in Punta Hermosa, Caballeros, Señoritas, Punta Rocas, and San Bartolo.
Depending on the swell conditions, you will leave early in the morning to the direction of north Peru. Driving on the highway, you will be visiting new, beautiful landscapes. You would be happy to be on a road tour, especially if you have the opportunity to see the countryside and valleys along the coast.
The first surf session of the trip could be in Huacho or Barranca. It always depends on the swell conditions. After scoring morning surf, you will continue on your journey north until you get to Bermejo. Here, you will sleep in a tent. You would get an ecological dry bathroom and rustic kitchen where you will cook a nice barbeque to celebrate and cheer with some drinks in the lonely desert.
It is different from other companies that offer to visit Bermejos for two hours and offer to go back and forth to Barranca city to eat or sleep. This means losing your time of surfing by driving one hour each way. You will not lose this time. You would be there on the first light in the morning and get all the best first waves from the sunrise until the sunset.
You will have the exclusive beach to yourself as My Surf Camp - Peru has a land property and the equipment to stay for all the days you want. Here, the most interesting thing apart from surfing would be to watch the fishermen's life.
In Bermejo, you will eat breakfast and surf until your arms cannot paddle anymore, then leave Bermejo and stop in Huarmey for lunch. From there, you will head north until you hit another secret spot. The afternoon surf is only if you want or if the conditions are good. Other than that, you will keep going north to get the world famous pictures in the beach town of Huanchaco, where totora horses are waiting for you to take a picture with. You may choose to have dinner there or continue until you get to the perfect, longest left waves in the world. A private room with private bathroom would be waiting for you to spend the night. You can hit the town for dinner and a little exploring.
Surf the longest left waves of the world, Chicama, at sunrise or after breakfast. Your morning session will be held at the regional, classic waves that offer long consistent rides. You will be passing the archeologically significant ruins of Chan Chan, a well preserved ancient city dating back to pre-Inca times. If you would like to stop for a quick tour, My Surf Camp - Peru will gladly take you. This endlessly long wave deserves more time and more attention than other waves in Peru. You will set here for the rest of your trip until you have to get back to Lima.
After a quick breakfast, you will be back to action at Chicama. You will surf until you cannot surf anymore. You will have a well-deserved lunch after the epic long left on the world experience that is Chicama. From there, you will be off to your final destination in the north, Pacasmayo.
Known as the 'ghost train', Pacasmayo has heavier and more powerful waves than Chicama, and on the right day, with the right tide and a good swell, it can offer just as long of rides, if not longer. It also offers a scenic beach town with warm weather and great vibes. You will then return to Chicama for dinner and call it a night.
At sunrise, you will have the last surf session and, after breakfast, you will be back on a road trip to Lima. After that, you will head back toward the town of Trujillo, one of the biggest cities in Peru. After lunch, you will surf in Huanchaco or hit further south to get to other secrets surf spots that also depend on the swell and conditions you would decide what to surf. You will pass the night on the way to Huarmey town or Bermejo.
You will go from Bermejo to Lima. The clouds move from west to east. Green river joins the ocean, coming down from the valleys where the water slides from the Andes mountains. You will find culture and wildlife like nowhere else you have ever seen. You will eat well and surf amazing waves without a doubt. It will be a surf adventure of a lifetime. You would cover 1,700 kilometers in a round trip from Jorge Chávez International Airport (LIM). Photo, video, surf lessons, surf coaching, and other activities can be done with a previous communication.
