Depending on your level Mooana will support you to reach your individual surf improvement goals, whether that is green wave transition, longboarding tips or basic feedback on your position and manoevering. Most of all you will have a lot of fun!
During this surf and yoga retreat, you will be staying at a traditional Cornish townhouse with a stunning view over the picturesque harbor and sea. You will be sharing rooms with the same gender. Stores and surf shops are all within walking distance of your accommodation.
Start each day with a delicious and locally sourced sustainable and healthy breakfast, then enjoy daily guided surf trips with individually tailored coaching from your surf coach Concha Rossler. Whatever your current level of surfing experience, Concha will help you to improve your skills and gain confidence in the waves.
Bring balance and harmony into the body with yoga sessions guided by your teacher Lauren Biddulph that will leave your heart full and your body feeling blissfully rested for your next day of surfing and adventure. Don't worry if you have not practiced yoga before. Lauren will help to guide you through your introduction to yoga and you'll be feeling the huge benefits of the practice in no time.
There will be a range of other great activities on offer which can be organized along the way. You will visit the UK's largest indoor skate park and have an introduction to skateboarding, visit world famous longboard champion and shaper Ben Skinner at his factory Skindog Surfboards and learn how to shape a surfboard, try out local traditional Cornish food and Ales, or just stroll along the many beautiful beaches that Cornwall has to offer.
During this surf and yoga retreat, you will have excursions to Skindog Surfboards to meet legendary long boarder Ben Skinner and see how surfboards are made at his factory in Newquay, and to the UK's largest indoor skate park at Mount Hawk.
Skindog surfboards are crafted by some of the industries' best shapers. They come together to make boards that both perform, whatever your level, and are some of the best finished surfboards in Europe. They pride themselves on adding beauty to all shapes-resin tints, pin lines, unique sprays, metallic, and bespoke artwork.
Ben is pretty unique as a shaper in that he can ride his shapes to their full potential. Best known as a successful competitive long boarder on the world circuit, Ben also rips on short boards and puts all his knowledge and experience into all the shapes Skindog Surfboard produces.
Mount Hawke Skatepark is one of the UK’s longest running indoors parks in the country with a rich heritage. The majority of the current set-up was designed and completed by FourOneFour Skateparks in May, 2016 with the pool being installed in February, 2017 after being generously donated by Ramp City.
