Mind Body Soul-Surf Bali believes one coach for two guests allows for faster learning, maximum safety, and individual spot attention in the water. Mind Body Soul-Surf Bali will be pairing you with a partner of a similar surfing level and tailoring the lesson to fit your personal goals to ensure your progress at your own pace safely. During your surf lessons, you will receive quality surf equipment with a daily photo and video coaching analysis and five days of surf lessons with a semi-private instruction.
Yoga and meditation is a perfect complement to your surf retreat program as it teaches you to balance, be flexible, gives you strength, and brings clarity to your mind to help you focus. All of which are crucial components of surfing.
The yoga and meditation classes have been tailored to the retreat program. Practicing yoga will restore sore and tired muscles and bring balance to your body after a day in the surf, or for your early morning classes, they will prepare your body for the day’s activities. Ending each yoga session with a short meditation, your mind will be quieted, release tension, and you will find a deep state of relaxation.
The word yoga means union in Sanskrit, the language of ancient India where yoga originated. You can think of the union occurring between the mind, body, and spirit through exercise, breathing, and meditation. Practicing regularly improves your overall wellness, mindfulness, and connection with self.
Your yoga and meditation classes will be held in the privacy of the retreat villa. The yoga and meditation classes are suitable for beginners through to advanced practitioners. The yoga instructor will adjust the poses to suit your ability. You will be practicing Hatha, Vinyasa, and Vinyasa Flow. Mind Body Soul-Surf Bali provides all of your equipment. Just bring your yoga clothes and an open mind and heart!
If you would like to try a traditional Indonesian yoga called Yama, the camp leader is a practitioner who would be happy to show you this form of healing yoga and meditation. Please ask your retreat leader upon arrival.
Apart from yoga and meditation sessions, you will enjoy a traditional Balinese full body massage, 50 minutes of massage, using blends of essential oils from Indonesian spices and flowers.

With beautiful coastlines, tropical warm waters year round, and a variety of beach and reef breaks located around the island, there is always a wave to catch nearly every day.
The villa is located on a quiet street close to rice paddies, only a 20-minute stroll from the beach and a 5-minute walk to amazing cafes, artsy restaurants, and hip boutique shopping. Tanah Lot Temple is a 20-minute drive and Ubud is only one hour away.
Seminyak is the most sought after upmarket location on Bali, just north of Kuta Beach. It is a much quieter place than the bustling tourist town of Kuta and offers a wide variety of world-class restaurants, cafes, beach bars, boutique shops, and affordable spas.
The endless beaches of Kuta, Legian, and Seminyak provide perfect beach breaks for learning how to surf or improving your surf skills and taking amazing beach walks to unwind. Here you can also enjoy incredible sunsets with a cold drink, listen to live music, and have a great dinner in one of the trendy bar and restaurants directly on the beach.
The local beach is Double Six Beach in Seminyak. Depending on skill level and wave condition, you may travel to other surf spots for your lessons. Beginners will be taught on sandy bottoms, close to the shore.
This retreat includes a daily breakfast, unlimited supply of purified water, herbal teas and fresh coffee, fresh fruit juices and baskets, young coconuts served after surfing on selected days, plus two dinners. The private Balinese chef will create nourishing whole foods. All the fruits and vegetables are locally grown, always choosing organic produce when available. The Mind Body Soul-Surf Bali use only the freshest local fish, seafood, and free-range meats.
The dishes have been carefully crafted to complement your surf and yoga program keeping energy levels up with a focus on Balinese and Indonesian cuisine. All meals are prepared in the villa by the Balinese staff and no meal is the same. Guests are very welcome to purchase and bring their own alcohol, extra snacks, and drinks to the villa.
