Tired surfers need restful sleep. That is why Mellowmove always makes sure that it does not pinch anywhere and that you can regenerate well in your room after a long day of surfing. The mellow-designed two and five bedrooms all have private bathrooms. The apartment and studio also offer a private kitchen. The surf camp covers an area of 1700 square meters and offers all amenities for an optimal surf vacation. While during the day, the pool area is the social center of the camp, in the evening, people meet in the cozy courtyard and at the bar.
Those who prefer it chilled out are welcome to simply watch the camp happenings from the hammock. A number of amenities also await you in the spacious indoor area of the main house. At the Mellow bar, they serve exclusively for guests tasty cocktails, Portuguese wines, and coffee. In the camp store, you can try on the latest collection or just get some waterproof sunscreen. Or maybe you just feel like a cozy evening of TV in the lounge to preserve your energy for the next surf day. Before it gets dark, however, it is almost mandatory to do some sunset watching on the cliff in front of the camp. The sunsets here are simply magnificent.
Program
Mellowmove offers beginner, intermediate, and advanced coaching. The courses take place from Monday to Friday and last about four to five hours per day. However, the daily start times are variable, as they attach great importance to surfing with you at the optimal time. To ensure this, they study the tides and the current weather and wave forecast. Based on this, they determine the best times for your surf sessions. The complete equipment is of course included in the course.
The surf instructors are all certified instructors and trained lifeguards. But more importantly, they live for surfing. The day at the camp begins and ends at the buffet. In the morning, start with a rich breakfast buffet and in the evening, a two-course dinner awaits you. In between, the surf course, theory sessions, yoga, and other program items take place. The timing for this is flexible and is determined by the waves and the tides.
They schedule the surf course daily at the best time for surfing and all other activities built up around it. You will find the schedule for the respective time on the information board in the dining hall the evening before. Of course, the day is not quite over after dinner. There are plenty of ways to spend the evening and the in-house bar caters for all your needs.
Location
The surf lodge is located in a truly privileged spot, only 100 meters from the coastline of the Ericeira area. You can see the ocean from almost every angle of the property and once you have enjoyed the breathtaking sunset from the cliff in front of the house, you will never want to leave again. It is hardly possible to live closer to the sea! The slightly elevated position offers a truly impressive ocean panorama. Here you can enjoy the comfortable ambiance of the premium surf camp and at the same time enjoy the view of the Atlantic Ocean and the bay of São Lourenço.

Arrival by airplane
Please book your flights to Lisbon Portela Airport (LIS). Transfer from the airport is available for an additional cost of 65 EUR per trip (up to four persons) to 75 EUR per trip (five to eight persons). The costs are split by the number of passengers. Pick-up from Lisbon airport by Mellowmove's shuttle partner company is possible at any arrival time, but only by prior appointment. Please inform them about your transfer request at least one week before your arrival.
They will then confirm the desired pick-up time and tell you the meeting point at the airport. There is always the option to rent a car directly at the airport. A rental car is also worthwhile if you want to discover as much as possible of beautiful Portugal outside of your surf lessons. Apart from the high season, you might be lucky and find a small car for 90 EUR per week.
Arrival by bus
Probably the most tiring but also the cheapest way to get here is by taking the bus. First, you take the subway from Lisbon Portela Airport (LIS) to the main bus station “Campo Grande” (Redline direction S. Sebastião - change to green line direction Telheiras). From Campo Grande, you take the bus to Ericeira. The travel to the neighboring town Ericeira takes little more than one hour. After your arrival, you switch to the bus heading towards Torres Vedras and deboard after a short drive at Casais de Sao Lourenco. The total cost is approximately 10 EUR.
Arrival by taxi
Located directly outside the arrival hall of Lisbon Portela Airport (LIS), you find a taxi stand. The journey takes approximately 45 minutes. As in many other countries, they advise you to discuss the price prior to entering the cab with the driver. The cost is approximately 80 to 90 EUR.
