Spend three fun-filled days In beautiful Maui, Hawaii on the water learning how to teach SUP yoga and paddle fit classes, how to plan and facilitate full moon paddleboard meditations, as well as sunrise and sunset paddles. Expect three days of training with Nichole, Kati, and Jolie and over 15 hours of water time honing your paddle skills, learning key techniques, turns, and water safety, all while learning to teach SUP yoga and paddle fit classes.
You can either choose to be accommodated at Tiki Beach Hostel or Maui House.
Upon completion of this yoga teacher training, students will receive certificate affiliated with Yoga Alliance. Registration with Yoga Alliance provides a globally recognized credential.
Learn the basics of pranayama and asanas for paddleboarding and paddleboard yoga business application. You will also learn modification of yoga poses on the board, how to teach beginner and advanced student all while learning to teach paddleboard yoga to individuals, couples, and group classes. Before you leave, you will teach your first paddleboard yoga class and leave the training ready and prepared. Through your journey, you will discover a more centered, balanced, and peaceful you. Only to return home with the knowledge and tools you need to create better experiences in your everyday life and to help others to do the same. Let the change from within illuminate out, creating the ripple effect of world peace.
Note: Training includes teach-backs so that by the end, students will feel confident teaching all classes
You will need to submit your current CPR and first aid certification and you should be a proficient swimmer and comfortable doing water sports. It is highly recommended to have your 200-hour RYT certification. However, it is not required to apply. You should be currently enrolled in your 200-hour YTT or have plans in the near future to attend. It is not advised to be instructing SUP yoga until this is completed.
If you are traveling from out of state, Moksha Soul recommends that you arrive 1 to 2 days prior to your training. If Moksha Soul is providing you with housing, then check-in date will be on March 28, 2018 and check out will be on March 4, 2018. It's ok if you speak another language, but you must be able to understand and speak basic English.
This teacher training will take place in Maui, Hawaii. The training will be held on the beach and in the ocean at Kamehameha Iki Park in Lahaina.
Meal plans are offered upon request. Moksha Soul offers vegan and vegetarian options from their local organic café. Meals will be delivered to you.
Maui has limitless activities in the ocean and on land! Activities like surfing, snorkeling, paddle boarding, kayaking, whale watching, cliff jumping, zip lining, and beautiful hikes on snowcapped mountains, volcanoes, and to beautiful waterfalls are available. Discover and explore exotic red and black sand beaches as well as fields of lavender and sunflowers. There are tours offered daily and Moksha Soul will be more than happy to help plan and book your choices of activities. In the Lahaina area, there is so much to do, from shopping, dining, live musical entertainment, traditional style Luaus, and sunset dinner cruises. For those interested in water sports activities, there is surfing, paddle boarding, kayaking, and boat tours to see the whales and dolphins.
Note: Please be advised that the days of training will be full days from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., so all excursions must be booked on dates before or after the training.
