Stayed here and it's a really nice place. Not really a "hostel" as there is only one small dorm and mostly private rooms so I found it really hard to meet anyone but my stay was still so nice. Had good breakfast every morning and got to just relax by the pool and the views of the rice fields were to die for!

Cozy place owned by great people. The staff is really friendly and welcoming. The rooms are clean and well equipped. There's a pool to chill out and a nice view on the rice terraces. Not really a surf camp, mostly a surf stay, but you can get surf lessons if you wish too. Easy access to Batu Balong surfing spots, Canggu restaurants and local market!

I've stayed at Matra Bali Surf Camp over the course of a month in Bali, with a short pause to go to Lombok. The rooms are big, and more importantly the rooms are very clean. They have a nice pool that really helps fight the heat on those days there is little to surf, and loads of sunlight. The facilities such as a fully equipped kitchen and water are provided and the Wi-Fi connection is good. The staff is very helpful in arranging all kinds of stuff. They even helped me to retrieve my ATM card that was swallowed by the ATM and arrange transfers from and to the airport.

I had a great time here with my boyfriend and friends! Waking up and jumping in a pool with a view on the rice fields. Matra Bali Surf Camp has a really nice bed with clean white sheet and friendly staff that makes you feel at home. The guesthouse is situated in a nice neighborhood where some friendly Balinese families live. You can take trips from here to anywhere very easily. We visited Ubud and Uluwatu, had dinner in Jimbaran, and shopped in Seminyak. From the airport it is a 30-minute ride, if its not extremely busy. You can ask them to pick you up if you don't want to bargain with all the drivers at the airport. Staying here is way better than in the Western fancy expensive hotels but offers you the same comfort. The rooms are very comfortable with air conditioner, refridgerator, TV with DVD player and a big bathroom with a rain shower.

I really enjoyed my stay at Matro Bali Surf Camp. The accommodation is clean with very comfy beds and it is situated in a beautiful setting with views over the rice fields. The staff working there are all really friendly and happy to help out with any questions that you may have during your stay. They organized a rental scooter for me to use to get around and recommended the best places to visit in the area. If you are looking for a laid back place to relax in between yoga and surfing then look no further.
