Come learn surfing in paradise! It only takes you a few steps to have access to surf lessons, diving in the waves, beautiful sunsets, paddling, or beach volleyball. Only a few meters away, there’s a long avenue in front of the beach where you can walk, ride a bike, drink a nice cold cocktail “Caipirinha” in a bar or even eat delicious ice cream with a great view of the ocean. Marias Hostel & Surf only works with certified surf instructors, to teach you in a fun and safe way.

In this surf camp, you'll stay at Marias Hostel & Surf. The house has four bedrooms, one of them spacious and co-ed with two bunk beds, where four people can sleep. The other two bedrooms have two single beds each, which can easily turn into a double bed. The last room has one double bed and a private bathroom. The house also has two shared bathrooms.
The living room and the kitchen are connected with each other to allow guests to socialize. These rooms are totally equipped with everything you need to prepare your meals if you wish.
On the outside, there’s a living area with a terrace connected to a balcony, where you can relax and socialize with the other guests. This area has an amazing view of the ocean, a living area, and a barbecue where you can grill your food.
For guests staying, you can use two surf skateboards and two surfboards for free.
Program
Surfing is one of the most well-known and difficult sports, but also the most addictive one. The feeling of sliding on the waves in perfect harmony with nature is something you can’t describe. You'll have certified instructors, to teach you in a fun and safe way.
The surf pack includes four days all level surf lessons, daily lesson will happen at the best time of each day. Marias Hostel & Surf can only receive 13 people once.
Location
This camp is located on the Furadouro beach, Ovar, Portugal. Portugal is well-known for receiving visitors, especially in the North. People are really nice, humble, and helpful.
The beach in Furadouro is a beach with a strong fishing tradition and a wide shore in the area of Costa da Prata, in the north of Portugal. It’s one of the best-known beaches in the area and it’s famous for the excellent restaurants that serve traditional Portuguese food, seafood, and grilled fish. There are some pubs with good music, good beer and “caipirinhas”, with a lot of entertainment at night during the summer.
Most of the beaches near this one are divided by rock piers that protect them from the swell entrance and wind. Peaks are mainly right waves but there are also good left waves. A big part of these beaches is surrounded by a pine forest and connected to each other with wooden paths and bike paths. You can take long walks along the beach, go bike riding or go surf skating.
You can choose between deserted beaches or beaches with some visitors to go for your daily surf, but you will rarely find a crowded one. While you’re staying with Marias Hostel & Surf, they are pleased to show you different beaches.

Stand up paddle
SUP is a very complete sport, which allows a unique contact with nature, it attracts people of all ages because it’s really easy to practice. SUP gives you the opportunity to use a board and slide on the waves in the sea, lakes, or lagoons. In the nearby areas, you can try SUP in any aquatic environment.
Surfskate
When you can’t practice surf, this is the closest way of practicing it but on solid ground. You can practice on the long avenues, with a beautiful ocean view or skate parks. They can help you start practicing it.
Hiking
There are long wooden paths that connect the surrounding beaches, so you can take long walks by the sea. You can also walk along the trails in the middle of the forest or use the bike paths, visiting other beaches or the beautiful park Buçaquinho.
