You can choose to stay in a cottage type accommodation, air-conditioned room, or campsite at Majestic Puraran, a small intimate beach resort located directly on the ocean against the serene background of tropical mountains. Majestic Puraran has just six accommodations to ensure that you have a very private holiday. Majestic Puraran deliberately retained the solitude and simplicity of the island way of life, which is one of the reasons the facilities are just very basic.

Massage

You will also enjoy traditional whole body massage from local people of Puraran. It is a one of a kind relaxing massage after a whole week of physical activities.

Yoga

You can enjoy the wellness daily yoga with a professional yoga teacher best for flexibility before the surfing session. It is 75 minutes in the morning or afternoon and warm up before the surfing activity. Venue is in garden and with yoga mat included in the class.

Included excursions

You will have an island tour to several places including Binurong point, Sakahon Beach, Bote Lighthouse, an old Spanish time church called Bato Church, and Solong Falls / Maribina falls.

Binurong point

It has beautiful scenery from the Pacific Ocean, rocks formation, and greens landscape. It is beautiful to catch the sunrise.

Sakahon Beach

Sakahon Beach has white strength creamy sand beach. It is a relaxing place for sunbathing and snorkeling beautiful formation of corals.

Jomary is a certified surf instructor with additional training from Red Cross and Coast Guard. He was a chef surf coach.

Sébastien d'Amico
Yoga Alliance RYT 500 (Yoga)
He is a French/Italian born and raised in Morocco who draws to art of movement, nature, and spirituality. As soon as he stepped on his mat his life changed. Yoga instinctively found its way to his heart and soul and found his calling. Certified RYT 500 by Yoga Alliance, he has been leaving in the Philippines for over 4 years and travels around south East Asia to share his passion of yoga. His goal is to help his fellow yogis channel the gap between those layers and find inner peace. His accessible, authentic and grounded classes focus on empowering each student with positivity and mindfulness.

Location

You will enjoy surfing in Puraran Beach, an isolated cove in Baras, Catanduanes, Philippines. It has its own swell coming from Pacific that break on the offshore reef. The "Majestic" is one of fastest, most hollow and right-handed barrels in the world. The term was coined by Hawaiian photographer Warren Bolster, June 1988 issue California-based Surfer Magazine. Local says that on a good day, the waves can reach more than six feet and even be higher during typhoon season.

How to get there

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Virac Airport (VRC). Transfer from and to the airport is included. Majestic Surf Camp will pick you up from the airport.

Driving directions from Manila

  • Book a flight from Manila to Virac through Cebu Pacific Air. Cebu Pacific flies three times a week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) and the estimated travel time is one hour.
  • Ride a tricycle from Virac Airport (VRC).
  • Tell the driver to take you to Virac Port and the estimated travel time is five minutes.
  • Ride a van / jeepney to Gigmoto and tell them you’ll be going to Puraran and the estimated travel time is 45 minutes.

Driving directions from Legazpi

  • Book a flight from Manila to Legazpi Airport (LGP).
  • Ride a tricycle from the airport.
  • Tell the driver to take you to Legazpi terminal where the van to Tabaco Port is located.
  • Ride the ferry to Virac Port.
  • Ride a jeep / van to Gigmoto when you arrive in Virac Port.
  • Tell them you’re going to Puraran.
