Magic Surf Morocco
Spent a truly amazing week with Magic Surf Morocco recently with two friends, and while I knew we would have a great time, our trip far surpassed my expectations, we all agreed it was the best holiday ever. I fell completely in love with Morocco - the people, the sunshine, the beach life, and of course, surfing! Getting on the plane home was incredibly difficult, I just didn't want to leave this beautiful place. So having suffered from the worst case of post-holiday-blues, we have already started looking at flights and dates to come back later in the year! Both of my friends had surfed before, but I was basically a complete beginner, having surfed only once before, for a week in the UK, 10 years ago. Fadl and Rashid were great instructors - thank you so much guys for your patience with me! They were really encouraging, super friendly and fun, and just generally great to spend our days with. I was really happy with how well I progressed through the week, despite my concerns having had surgery on my foot about 6 months ago - Fadl and Rashid told me in the morning of day two that I had to stand up that day, and I did! Sabine, the manager, is just wonderful, she's so friendly and welcoming, you feel like a friend, not a just a guest, and nothing is too much trouble. After picking us up from the airport, she spent evenings with us, having dinner with us at the Riad and taking us for sunset drinks and dinners out, and having us over for a barbeque. We had a great time getting to know her. To top everything off, we had the very lovely Sarah as our teacher for the post-surf yoga. Sarah tailored our practice to our energy level after a day in the water, and focused on easing any discomfort we were experiencing, whilst relaxing us completely. I loved that it wasn't super serious - we were all beginners and had all spent the day in the sea, so it was nice to have a little laugh together when we couldn't do something. So, if you didn't already guess, I would absolutely recommend Magic Surf Morocco - you won't be disappointed. Can't wait to see you all again!
I had the best week here-I booked with Magic Surf over other surf camps, as they were the only one who offered flexible arrival and leaving dates and I could pick and choose what I wanted to do. My yoga and surf instructors were so chilled out, tailored everything to my level and I progressed loads but had heaps of fun and made friends along the way. The food and accommodation was great, traditionally Moroccan-but comfortable and cozy. Would definitely recommend it, so much so that I've already booked my flights to go back again and meet up with friends I made the first time round!

I had such a fabulous week! Sabine is so welcoming and helpful, Rashids excellent surf instruction saw me improve in confidence, and Holly's awesome yoga instruction was the icing on the cake. Great company, great food, great holiday. Thanks Magic Surf, for a wonderful time!

My second trip (it's so good I went back and took friends) to Magic Surf surprised me by being even better than the first. I'd had such an amazing time I didn't think that was possible! The riad is incredibly beautiful, with spacious rooms, roof terraces offering both shaded seating and somewhere to lounge in the sun, palms and bougainvillea everywhere, and the most friendly, welcoming people (Hi, Mohammed!) you could wish to spend time with. There's even a wonderful mosaic plunge pool in the courtyard to refresh yourself after a long day in the sun and surf. Surfing is special wherever you do it, but the surfing here is a very special. Fadl and Rashid were the most fun, patient, encouraging and skilled instructors, making every day better than the last. The water is clear and warm, and the locals are friendly, tolerant and understanding of beginner surfers. Everyday we came out of the water to a fabulous lunch on the beach, then after a snooze and a bit more surfing, went home to the riad to shower off and enjoy our yoga sessions with the lovely Sarah, who tailored each practice to how we were feeling. No matter how aching or tired we felt, by the end of each session we felt more grounded, relaxed and refreshed, and ready for a delicious dinner served in the courtyard. The tagines rocks by the way. All of these aspects of the trip were tied together by the wonderful Sabine, who makes staying at Magic Surf feel like staying with one of those really cool friends who just wants you to have the best time. From picking us up at the airport, to a trip to have drinks and watch the sun go down over the sea, to an emergency beach hat purchase, to arranging a massage and a driver for an afternoon going to the souks and airport on our last day, nothing was too much trouble for Sabine. She is a marvelous host and a fantastic person I feel privileged to have spent time with. There were tears on the plane, and we've already started planning our next trip.
