Accommodation
The hotel has four private rooms, a private home, 1 jungle view apartment, and a small restaurant with a pool. Lucero is built on a hillside in the middle of town just off the main street and within walking distance to supermarkets, restaurants, and the beach! The lowest level is communal with the restaurant for your breakfast, lunch, dinners, theory lessons and a pool in front to cool off when it's hot. On the second level, there are the four rooms looking out over the pool with on the side a cool little garden to hang out in. On top of the hill is the main house with an ocean view and on the backside of the hill with a view of the jungle is a small private apartment.
All rooms have therapeutic matrasses, AC, ceiling fan, mini-fridge, safe, and a comfortable hammock. Their 'style is a combination of old Spanish on the outside with white brick walls, Spanish tile on the roofs, and touches from Bali on the inside with finished concrete, beautiful wood, and the finest linen bedding. The perfect place to relax after all you do all day.

So you’re in sunny Costa Rica and ready to surf! The lapping waves of Santa Teresa’s pristine beaches await your attention. Perfect for beginners to those with more intermediate skills. With Lucero's Surf and Stay package, you can enjoy comfortable accommodations close to the beach, with daily breakfast and fun surf lessons included. If you want you can always add additional activities, or keep it simple and just surf your heart out!
The package includes 4 surf lessons, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Wednesday is a rest day but if you feel ambitious you can always add more lessons on the reservation form, you can also add activities or yoga.
The itinerary depends on the tide and surf level of the guests. Breakfast is between 7.30 - 9.00 a.m. and the surf lesson is in the morning or afternoon.
Location
Lucero is located in the town of Santa Teresa Costa Rica, a small popular beach village on the Pacific coast. The beautiful white sand beaches you find here are known for some of the best surfing in the entire country and are ideal for surfers of any level! There is a pristine jungle view from the beach with no big buildings anywhere. The rustic beauty of this town comes with one road that runs from the southern part of Mal Pais up to Hermosa and further- parallel from the beach.
Even though we are located in the center of town we are still far enough from the hustle and bustle so you won't hear any traffic or noise, you sit on a small hill surrounded by plants, trees. There is a pool and garden, a restaurant area for breakfast, and every room comes with a hammock, perfect for chilling when you are not surfing or exploring the town. From the hotel, you can walk to the supermarket, many restaurants/cafes and the beach.

Arrival by shuttle
The first option is to take the daily shuttle. It picks you up from the airport or your hotel. There is usually one in the morning and one mid-day. It takes 4.5 hours to get to Lucero. 1.5 hour to the ferry in Puntarenas, 1.5 hours crossing the peninsula on the ferry and from the other side 1.5 hours to get to the venue. It's 60 USD one way.
Cancellation Policy
- A reservation requires a deposit of 50% of the total price.
- The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
- The rest of the payment should be paid 14 days before arrival.
