Discover the parts of Brazil that are untouched and almost unrevealed to the rest of the world! Join Lov2KiteBrasil and enter a pretty wild area of the north of Brazil. Explore a pure outback territory with many wild animals to see and see the untouched interior of the river delta by boat and kite. This is an adventure for the brave of heart!
Accommodations will be in double rooms in a two-person sharing basis. You will be staying in accommodations in Camocim or Maceo (depending on the tides), Barra Grande, Delta do Parnaiba, Tutoia, and Atins.
This is a downwind activity. Easy and safe, the cars can follow you 95% of the time on the beach. It is a variation of waves and flat water, plus little lagoons here and there, perfect to start up the trip and get used to the conditions!
In Guriu (depending on the tides), you will spend a bit of time playing in that fabulous flat-water lagoon before reaching Tatajuba for thelunch break. Then continue riding a consistent and little wave all the way to Camocim River, where you will pack and drive on the barge to cross. Then you will go to the pousada.
From Maceo and Camocim pousadas, you can actually launch the kites and start the trips straight at the front of the accommodation. From there, you will head to Bitupita, where you will have your lunch break.
Continue another 19 kilometers downwind to reach Barra Grande. It will be a mix of waves and flat waters going along the beach passing just a few fishermen huts on the way.
The trip will start right at the front of the pousada where you can launch the kites and leave straight away for the downwind. A few kilometers later, you will walk over the dunes and play in this beautiful enclosed lagoon before making your way to the next stop. The cars will only be able to catch up in Luiz Correia, which is a big large beach with decent-sized waves all the way to the two-kilometer pier that stands at the end.
Stop and have your lunch break. You can keep on going to the arrival point and get picked up by the boat to the pousada, or you can go downwind and land just next to the pousada. It depends on the level of the people and the tides and wind you will have to deal with.
From the pousada, you will take a boat to the entrance of river and then go downwind. You will be crossing the Delta Do Parnaiba; it can be pretty dangerous depending on the strength of the wind and the tides, and no cars can follow.
On the way, you can kite, keeping going downwind. After that, you have a large river crossing where you won't be able to mess up. But right after that, you have some real nice flat water around sandbars then another nice waves section until next river crossing just before turning inside river to join Tutoia. It is a tricky passage as it can be hard to cross and make it to Tutoia. Cars can come and pick you up farther downwind just in case.
Downwind from Tutoia to Atins, a few river crossing and waves sections. Stop at Paolinho Neves to catch up with cars that will then follow on the beach to film. Stop at Cabure for the cars, load boat, and cross by boat to Atins. Keep going downwind all the way to Atins and land in front of the bar / restaurant “The Barco” (a boat on the beach that has been transformed in a bar restaurant).
This day you will have a bit of a break and consider it as a day off. There will be some expression session in the lagoon or even downwind a little before coming back in Atins. This spot is perfect for flat water as well as waves riding at the front of the river mouth. Atins is a really layback sort of village, really basic, with a few pousadas and restaurants. You may go downwind to Rio Negro (Lencois do Maranhao) for a bit, depending on the conditions.
Go 26 kilometers downwind until middle of Lencois. Depending on tides, upi can take on the inside of the lagoon and have great fun in the lagoon until you reach the end. Then walk over the sand dune and kite the ocean with a super nice wave section all the way to Rio Negro.
Afterwards, start the trek to the first lagoon (you cannot kite anymore in the park so it is all about the discovery by foot) and have fun in the lagoon. After lunch, keep on walking to Baixa Grande where you will sleep in the oasis in a large hut with hammocks only. A sunset aqua safari is on the menu, with dinner and stargazing.
Morning trekking to the other lagoons. The car will pick you up on the beach to reach the restaurant for lunch at the entrance of Atins. Eat the best local prawns ever! Then there will be a kite session in the lagoon in front of the restaurant. You can also opt to just rest and enjoy peaceful Atins.
From Atins, you will take a boat all the way to Cabure where the car will be waiting to drive you on the beach all the way to Paolino Neves. You will arrive at Jericoacoara in the evening.
