Nias, a pumping Indonesia reef break treasured for power, warm water and flawless peeling barrels, has one of the most famous waves in the world. In addition to the main wave, several other breaks in the area cater to all levels of surfer: Lagundri Beach break and Sunset Bay are ideal for beginners, while advanced surfers can scare themselves on the slabby left at Sobatu. With a chilled out family vibe and personal service, you can be assured of a relaxing respite after intense sessions in Nias thumping tubes; a home from home, in tropical paradise.
Several hotels and camps have sprung up along Lagundri Bay to provide surfers access to this Sumatran gem, but Hash and Family Surf Camps Nias is undoubtedly one of the friendliest. It is the best hotel of the bay because it has the best rooms, hot water bathrooms, food, views and service like no other at Lagundri Bay. Accommodation options include single and double rooms, as well as shared rooms for up to 4 people - perfect for singles, couples and groups of friends. It is easy to stay with Line Up Explorers and be happy!
Nias has the world's top 10 waves. Below are some spots that you can surf:
10 kilometers north of Teluk Dalam harbor, in front of the village Hilisataro is a swift, sucky right at the south end of the bay that will be working when the Point is bigger.
The most beautiful sandy beach of Nias. Waves are fine on the beach break. It is a perfect spot to spend all day with your girlfriend and friends to watch the sunset!
Beside surfing, there is 1 trip to Rockstar or Deepi for you to enjoy.
This holiday will take place in Hash and Family Surf Camps Nias, Lagundri Bay, Nias island, Indonesia.
The cheapest and easiest option is to book your own trip to Binaka Airport (GNS). For example: Bali - Jakarta - Medan - Gunung Sitoli or Kuala Lumpur - Medan - Gunung Sitoli. Sometimes, it is better to fly Lion Air all the way if possible, so you make sure not to miss connections. Other airlines can get you to Medan, too, but from Medan to Gunung Sitoli, only Lion air does the trick.
Let Line Up Explorers know what date, flight number and time you are getting into Nias. A driver will meet you at the airport and drive you to the camp (2-hour drive).
