Location

Lanzarote, or Lanza as locals call it, is the most easterly island of the Canary archipelago, which belongs to Spain. It is located in the Atlantic Ocean, 100 kilometers west of the African coast and approximately 1,000 kilometers south of mainland Spain. Lanzarote is the most volcanic of the Canary Islands. Its magnetic, almost lunar landscape boasting over 200 kilometers of coastline and countless beaches, together with the charm of its architecture exclusively low-rise houses, all painted white with either blue or green woodwork make it truly different from any other island of the archipelago.

Aside from being a Mecca for all surf, kite surf, windsurf, stand-up-paddle, diving, snorkeling, fishing and sailing enthusiasts, Lanzarote is a great playground for earth sports such as cycling, mountain biking, trekking, quad, horse riding, golfing or simply enjoying a relaxing time in one of the islands many spa centers.

If you would like, Lanzasurf can organize a car rental for you at a flat price from 149 EUR per week (category A car, all risk insurance, and unlimited mileage included). You will pick the car up and drop it off directly at the airport terminal. All you need to do is confirm your arrival and departure time and they will arrange this for you!

Admire the panorama at the Mirador del Rio

The Mirador del Rio is a remarkable viewpoint located at the northern end of the island of Lanzarote next to the village of Haria.

Contemplate the lunar landscape of Timanfaya

The mountains of Timanfaya are part of a vast area affected by volcanic eruptions that took place in Lanzarote between 1730 and 1736, and later, in 1824. The volcanoes in Timanfaya are still active! Here, you will feel as if you are on another planet!

Eat a cactus burger in the Cactus Garden

Located in the north of the island of Lanzarote, have a look at the latest space work of César Manrique and the cactus garden before you sit on the terrace while savoring a sumptuous cactus burger.

Hiking the volcano La Corona

Located in Ye, in the north of the island, the volcano La Corona, is one of the largest volcanoes of the island that dominates a vast lava field, the Malpaís de la Corona. A beautiful walk with easy access, an impressive crater and a beautiful view of the sea.

Jump in one of the natural pools of Los Charcones

During your stay in Lanzarote, this is a place that should not be missed. No guide speaks about it and it's a shame! The landscape of Los Charcones is a feast for the eyes with its many natural pools of clear water where you can jump cliffs and admire the fish!

Rave about the work of César Manrique in Jameos Del Agua

Another unmissable work of César Manrique, Los Jameos Del Agua! These open-air underground caves are a natural site shaped by man into a work of art. In addition to being a work of art, you can also attend many concerts in its auditorium. Try the Lanzarote experience and you will be seduced by these timeless landscapes!

Shopping at Teguise's market

Stroll on Sunday morning at the Teguise market before stopping to listen to live music and sip lemonade while eating some tapas at La Cantina.

Take the ferry to Graciosa

If you have to see at least one thing during your holidays in Lanzarote it is La Graciosa! The Graciosa is simply a haven of peace where you will find all the tranquillity you need to escape your daily life. There is only one village on this island, the rest is full of nature, white sand, turquoise water, and of course, volcanoes!

Travel the wine road and stop at El Grifo

One of the most beautiful discoveries to be made on this magical island of Lanzarote is undoubtedly the wine road that goes from Yaiza to the El Grifo museum. This road is simply beautiful, with its black and green colors!
