Lanka Living is South West and Sri Lanka's freshest surf camp. Nestled in the jungle treetops of Ahangama just minutes away from amazing warm water waves, their jungle villa has something for everyone.

They have two beautiful luxury private rooms: one with air-conditioning and one with an upstairs balcony and large private bathroom. There are two standard private double rooms and a colorful, spacious globetrotter dorm. It’s important to have somewhere comfy to chill after a big surf sesh which is why they’ve made as many chill areas as they can, their favorite being the biggest, comfiest hammock in Sri Lanka (they’ve tested it and it can fit 20 people).

They’ve also got plenty of perfect hidey holes to have some pre-drinks or maybe an after party without bothering the sleepy heads who might have passed out already.

Their surf fitness area is the perfect space for a jungle workout and will give you the skills and exercise techniques to keep surf fit. They understand everyone has their own personality and embrace that. This is why all the packages can be customized depending on your budget and surf and fitness level.

All the rooms are a little different. Read the information below and choose which one suits your vibe.

Globetrotter dorm

The massive, colorful globetrotter dorm is perfect for people who want to interact and meet new people, big groups, and those who want a cheaper stay. The dorm has one double bunk bed for couples or friends and five singles. All the beds are fitted with curtains for privacy. The dorm has an adjoining balcony and its own bathroom with plenty space leftover to socialize, play xBox, skate (you can use the skateboard on-site, it’s great surfing practice), or just chill. The dorm room has a balcony, bathroom, and beautiful outdoor shower with jungle views.

Jungle Delux

The spacious reef room has a heavenly king size bed, air conditioning to cool you down, and an en-suite bathroom with a hot water shower.

Jungle Saver

The two Jungle Savers are private double rooms inside their own separate bungalow next to the main villa. Both rooms have comfy queen beds, ceiling fans, and beautiful views. The bungalow has its own balcony, bathroom, and living room.

Jungle view

These two private double rooms are located on the second floor and have a massive adjoining balcony and giant hammock with a view of the lush Sri Lankan jungle you could only dream of. Both rooms have comfy queen beds, spacious en-suites, large wardrobes, and ceiling fans.

Surfitness is something Lanka Living Surf is proud of being the first and only to offer in Sri Lanka, or in the world for that matter. It’s fitness related exercises that will increase your power, health, and make you stronger. It will help you develop faster and catch more waves and will reduce the risk of getting injured.

Lanka Living Surf embraces people’s differences and backgrounds; they analyze, adapt, and provide each and every one the ultimate exercise that best suits them. This is a solution that will increase your abilities to catch waves in an easier and safer way, becoming strong and a good surfer while having fun.

Stay ready, don’t get ready

This is a way for you to keep that muscle memory fresh, the paddle strong, and the popup technique perfect. So, when you are ready to rip next time, let's skip these heavy struggling first days with weeks of aching pain. At the end of your stay, you will receive a form of exercises especially made for you to keep in shape or to level up for your next stay with Lanka Living Surf.

Why you should surf with Lanka Living Surf

You can find Lanka Living Surf’s hidden gem along Sri Lanka’s coastline, in the southwest, to be more specific. Lanka Living Surf is spoiled with more than 15 amazing breaks around them, within five to 15 minutes tuk-tuk rides.

Surf lesson

From the camp, you are transported directly to the surf spot by tuk-tuk. The surf lessons are around two hours long divided into two parts:

  • Theory - safety, technique, surfing history, ocean knowledge, and video analysis

This surf camp will take place in Ahangama, Sri Lanka. In Sri Lanka, winds are offshore, making clean waves, swells are consistently good, and rain is at a minimum. With tropical temperatures all-year-round and perfect waves nearly every day during the season (from November to April), Sri Lanka offers ideal conditions for beginner, intermediate, and advanced surfers.

Leave the wetsuit behind, rock up in just your bikini / board shorts and embrace the hotter than 28 degrees salt water. Forget about ugly tan lines, a smelly wetsuit, and the struggle to put that wetsuit on or off and enjoy the freedom with few people in the lineup, heaps of waves, and good vibes. There are waves for everyone! Here are some surf spots near the camp:

  • Beach breaks: Kabalana Beach, Welligama Bay, Ahangama Beach
  • Point breaks: Plantation, South Beach, Madiha, Coconut
  • Reef breaks: The Rock, Rajiths, Lazy Right, Lazy Left, Fisherman, Mirissa, Rams Right

Ten breakfasts and seven dinners are included in the price. Dinners are served in the camp and you will eat out two times a week. Using the best local, fresh produce, the meals are legendary and sure to fuel those big surf sessions.

Depending on swell and weather conditions and how everyone is feeling, you will start the day with some coffee, fresh fruit, and other snacks before your surf lesson. Surfing on a full stomach is not the greatest feeling and can hinder your performance. After the lesson, it's brekky time! You will have a huge spread of fresh fruits, banana pancakes, coconut oatmeal, coconut rotti, omelettes, fresh bread, roast tomato, tea, coffee, fresh smoothies, and more.

For six nights, you will have a big family dinner inside the camp. You will mix it up every night and once a week you'll have a Sri Lankan feast or barbeque. On the two nights that you eat out, Lanka Living Surf will show you to their favorite local spots you will love as much as they do.

All meals in the camp are prepared by the team's chefs who will happily cater to any dietary requirements you might have.
