Living with Marco you really feel like you're invited into his home and family. We cooked together, had drinks, worked out, tried these skateboards with moving front wheels and so much more. I've done a surf camp before, but the follow up that Marco gives his guests is on another level. In 4 days I went from catching white water waves to catching multiple green water waves!
I was a bit surprised when I walked to the hostel and found that it was a normal house where one room was made into a bedroom with 5 beds. Before I've only been to hostels that have sooo many people so this was a nice change of pace. It built this feeling of staying with family because everyone got so close.
The dog. There is a dog there. It's the cutest ever. Kiro is a akita inu (big shiba inu) and walks around the house and garden with you when you eat, work out and chill. If you like dogs, you'll love her!
The surfing is done by one of the surf schools on a beach very close to Marco, about 10-15mins walk. The instructors there were super nice. They take max 5 people out and one day we were lucky and got an instructor with only 2 people in the group, which ment super much attention and help. After the lessons Marco tends to ask how it went and also gives pointers and help if there is something you're struggling with so you get a lot more follow up then you would anywhere else I think. If your goal is to improve your surfing I can't recommend this place enough!
