Experience the uncrowded sessions as there will be plenty of time to discover the area. The Indian Ocean is ideal for free and wave riding is in front of you and the Kalpitiya Lagoon is a perfect spot for those of you who want to learn kitesurfing or explore your freestyle.
Kitesurfing Sri Lanka kitecamp is situated in the fishing village of Kandakuliya in Kalpitiya, north west part of Sri Lanka. The property is a coconut estate with a beautiful exotic garden. It has 19 bungalows with private bathrooms and toilets, one three-bedrooms villa with two bathrooms, and 13 deluxe tents with a common bathroom. The accommodation is also facilitated with homemade food, bar, and restaurant to satisfy your hunger. At this camp, you’ll find privacy, tranquility, and beauty.
There are two types of lagoon view bungalows at Kitesurfing Sri Lanka. They all have private bathroom and toilets, 6 with private open air bathroom and four with private in-room bathroom. From your terrace, you can enjoy the beauty of the mangroves and the beach.
The tranquility of the Garden View bungalows is ideal for nature lovers. The bungalows have private outdoor bathrooms and toilets, surrounded by plants. From your terrace you can enjoy a direct view of the tropical garden.
The tents are set in the middle of Kitesurfing Sri Lanka’s tropical garden. Big and comfortable, they come with a fan, mattresses, a bedside lamp, a mosquito plug and some furniture to pack your clothes. All tents have access to the common bathroom and toilets.
Teaching of the wind mechanisms, the setting up of the equipment, the launching and piloting of the kite, safety requirements and kite power management, body dragging, self-rescue, and water start theories.
Dilsiri is Sri Lanka’s first IKO qualified instructor and easily the most enthusiastic of kiters in Sri Lanka. He is well known in Sri Lanka for his passion for all watersports and nature! Interestingly enough before deciding to live by the beach he worked in a company that made Victoria's Secret! He has a passion for the arts and loves to play Scrabble.
Léo is an IKO qualified instructor. He is fanatic for any sliding sports such as kitesurf, kitesnow, surf, and paragliding. Léo also a great cook. Interestingly enough, Leo's first experience of Sri Lanka was when his dad took him on holiday there when he was a teenager. His project for 2016 is to build his house in France.
Sri Lanka’s first and most experienced Kitesurfing Instructor. There is no doubt that Mischi is the best teacher of the sport in the island. A colourfull character who can teach you in 5 languages! After a days' teaching, Mischi can be found on the right side corner of the bar enjoying a conversation and a Lion Beer!
A big-time waterman, Amine loves surfing, freestyle kiteboarding, and kite surfing. Most recently he has been focusing on strapless wave riding. He hails from Morocco.
This retreat will take place on the west coast of Sri Lanka in Kalpitiya on the peninsula of Puttalam. Kalpitiya beach is quite uncrowded since it is not spoilt by mass tourism. The setting in this place is amazing since it is surrounded by the lagoon and faces the Indian Ocean.
On one side of the peninsula is the Indian Ocean which is ideal for free riding and wave riding. On the other side is Kalpitiya Lagoon which is a perfect spot for beginners and freestylers. In between is Puttalam Lagoon with perfect flat water which is great for downwind trips and kite safari, freeriding, and camping.
Kitesurfing Sri Lanka's guests love their food. The food consists of fruits and vegetables from the village. They also provide fresh seafood brought in by the fishermen each morning. They also have Sri Lankan cuisine like rice and curry, hoppers and kottu; as well as a range of Western dishes. Free tea, coffee, and drinking water around the clock will also be served.
Massage is a great option for your holiday especially after a kiteboarding session. Qualified therapists will help prevent muscle ache and can relax muscular tension with a massage. Kitesurfing Sri Lanka has different types of massages: relaxing, deep tissue, sport, Thai, hot stones, cup therapy, and other special massages.
They also offer steam bath treatment with Sri Lankan Ayurvedic herbals which helps you detoxify your body and provide emotional and physical relaxation. The best way is to have a package of steam bath and massage.
