Kite Holic will introduce you to the ultimate full immersion of kitesurfing in Mexico. Join Kite Holic’s professional surf camp for a week of coaching to learn kitesurfing in the best and fun atmosphere. You will be rewarded a healthy challenge that can shape your life in a positive way. Discover new amazing spots and get in touch with the city. This surf camp is a chance for a true progression!
During this surf camp, you can choose whether to stay at a 3-star hotel or in a bungalow. The hotel is located approximately a 10-minute drive by car. You can enjoy Wi-Fi facility and breakfast if choosing this accommodation. Meanwhile, the bungalow is a very nice, quiet, and peaceful. The place is situated 500 meters right in front of the ocean.
The kitesurfing lessons are dedicated to all levels of kitesurfers. You will have a daily routine which involves lots of riding, coaching, videoing, and feedback. Demetrio will be your guide. He will also give you expert advice, tips, and training techniques to ensure you are reaching your potential and goals.
You will be divided into a group consisting of 6 to 8 persons. The amount of persons in these lessons is aimed to exclusively tailored coaching. In order to have the most effective progression possibility, Kite Holic will set the goals together depending on your kitesurfing level.
For the beginner and intermediate kitesurfers, you will focus on safety systems, self-rescue, and first jumps right away. Meanwhile, for the advanced kitesurfers, you will progress in unhooked tricks and handle passes such as rally to blind, blind judge, blind judge 3, KGB, back-mobe, 313, kite loop handle passes, etc.
You can have a trip to Cenotes and enjoy snorkeling in Isla Mujeres if there is no wind or when you prefer to take few days off for your kitesurfing lessons.
Demetrio has started kitesurfing in 2010. Since then, he dedicated his life to kitesurfing. Demetrio has been traveling and teaching kitesurfing around the world. For example, he has vast kitesurfing experiences in Mexican Riviera Maya, Greek Islands, and Italy. He has studied cinema in Rome and Sports Science in Verona and been a professional downhill mountain biking rider for GIANT. Demetrio practices other mountain sports such as rock climbing, white water kayaking, and hydrospeed. He also designs and organizes the kite camps, trips, and event as well as mentors the instructor team.
Isla Blanca is a skinny little mini-cape that curls around Laguna Chakmochuk, north of Punta Sam. At some places in Isla Blanca, there’s not much more than a hundred yards between the ocean and the lagoon. Considered as a world-class spot, Isla Blanca is a flat water lagoon with shallow waist deep water which stretches along the coast for many kilometers and provides sufficient space for practicing your kitesurfing skills. Isla Blanca’s flat water stays all day. This area is the best spot for you to learn and progress in 100% safety very quickly. Isla Blanca features flat sandy stretches on the lagoon side that have few mangroves. The ocean-side has miles of white sandy beach with a bit of turtle grass seaweed thrown upon it by the waves. The water has perfect Caribbean turquoise colour.
Cenotes are natural swimming holes formed by the collapse of porous limestone bedrock which has revealed a secret subterranean world of groundwater pools. Cenotes have fresh water that has been meticulously filtered by the earth, making Cenotes so clear and pure that you can see straight through to small fish frolicking in the plant life below.
El Farito is a beach located in Isla Mujeres. This beach, El Farito’s lighthouse reef, is a shallow area of around 2 meters where there are many types of coral and plenty of tropical fish. There is also a small statue of Virgin Mary on the ocean floor. She was found in a shipwreck and placed there by local fishermen.
You will be served lunch at a fisherman's restaurant. The restaurant is hidden at Isla Blanca small harbor overlooking the peaceful lagoon. You will be served freshly caught fish. Moreover, you have to try one of the typical Mexican food which is handmade nachos, ceviche, or a raw fish marinated in lemon with onions, tomatoes, and peppers. Besides, barbecue is one off thing. You can bring the beers and have fun since Kite Holic will provide you with the food.
Please arrive at Cancún International Airport (CUN). Kite Holic will transfer you from the airport to the surf camp. The pick-up is included in the price. Please send your flight details.
