In 2005, Felix's kite adventure started at Workum, as soon as he saw the leaves on the trees move, everything went aside and he immediately had to get on the water. After a winter training in Brazil in 2009 with friends, he went through several European kite tours with good results and the national events here in the Netherlands were always very nice! Traveling, kiting, and teaching are his three passions in life and he is happy to make his passions his job. Now that he has completed his High Hotel School education, he is ready to make your KiteActive holiday a legendary success!
What could be better than making your hobby your job? The training to become a kitesurf instructor was therefore an easy choice. After obtaining the diploma, I taught a lot at Workum and Schiermonnikoog. It still gives me a thrill when a student makes his or her first meters and comes from the water to the ear with a smile! I was allowed to work on various national and international kitesurfing events. After a few summers I exchanged Schiermonnikoog for Aruba. Here I organized the Aruba Hi-Winds the largest kitesurf/windsurf event in the Caribbean.
It is sometimes difficult to explain to a non-rider that kiting is the most beautiful thing there is. I always describe it as my active relaxation. From myself I am quite busy, then it is often nice to do something active, while I definitely relax, it is yoga the water. On a KiteActive trip this is even more reinforced by the fact that you are with a group of people who find kiting just as important in their lives as I think it is. Sharing a passion often creates a bond the first day. That is why I hope that I can still travel a lot, where I can at least try to convey my enthusiasm to you.
