Tarifa is awesom to learn how to kite.

The wind and weather was perfect, we could kite every day of the vacation.

The instructors were very professional and it was a lot of fun.

The accomodation is a bit spartanic and run-down.

    good teachers, nice beach bar

phone nr and adress should be shared 3 days in advance, not the day of arrival, as I saw it too late and extra costs from arrival after 22u should be mensioned on the site.

My experience in Tarifa was great. The kitesurfing lessons were awesome, and I had a really nice instructor named Axel. He was very patient, passionate and full of positive energy. He let me feel comfortable and safe, since it was my first experience. The accomodation was also really good, with a kitchen and a nice bathroom and the location of the house was near the old town. It was also nice to stay in a house with other people that also had kite surfing lessons. I will definitely go back. Thanks guys!

My instructors were really good and friendly, the overall atmosphere was good and the lessons were as safe as they were fun. The hostel is well located, close to the old town (although it is 20 min walk away from the daily shuttle to the kitesurfing beach).

First of all, the price you see on that page doesn't match reality. Forget about the "20 hours of kite and private room for 530 euros"'s very unlikely that it's what you'll get.

So my first recommendation is : DO NOT PAY ANY DEPOSIT before you've talk to the crew.

Secondly, my best advice is : once you get there, DO NOT PAY any lesson in advance. If you don't cancel a lesson sufficiently in advance, they will charge you the course even though you didn't take it. But this of course, they don't tell you... (it's apparently written in the contract, make sure you read all the small lettered conditions before you sign anything).

If there's no wind, you'll probably have to negotiate to get your hours of lesson back. Or at least they'll make you feel that they do you a big favor teaching you that lessons.

Having to negotiate everything that you've paid for is bothering. Especially when you're in holidays and just wanna relax.

The package was not what we expected, the numbers of hours was not correct!

Kite surf les at kiteschooltarifa is great. Really friendly and good instructors and good material. The surf house is nice and located at a perfect location. And besides that Tarifa is a very nice village to spend your holiday.

Very much enjoyed our kite-surfing lessons with Tarifa Max. My girlfriend and I had 5 days of lessons with instructor Rachel. She was very professional, safety aware and taught us well. I'm now at the level were I'm comfortable kite-surfing on my own. I just bought my own equipment and can now enjoy many more kite-surfing trips!

I did three days of private courses, and then I rented kites for 6 days. Carlos and Robert were my instructors, they were both friendly and helpful. Mathieu and Rachel helped me with the renting, they were very available as well. Plus I stayed Max Kitesurfing sort of hostel, which was managed by Rachel. The place is very nice.

If you are looking for waves and strong wind - Tarifa is the place to go. If you are beginner as me struggling with your kite, wishing max progress - no surprise the place to go is Tarifa Max Kitesurf School! Thanx to very friendly and dedicated trainer Robert I managed to get up on the board by myself and to ride. It took a while to get over these waves, I had to drink a lot of salty Tarifa water till I manage to pull myself with the kite out of the water. The patient and good advice from Robert did`t let to loose the motivation and kept me trying. Thanks for two days max experience and progress! I definitely will come back, this time to learn some jumps and tricks!

Did a course with Tarifa Max as a beginner three years ago, now when I came back to Tarifa this year I sent them an email again, and took a two hour private course and improved my riding and jumping. Very happy with both courses and the instructor Robert. Strongly recommended!!

I finally took my first kite lesson last summer. I had little time to choose a school and decided to stake everything on the first impression. It couldn’t be better! The staffs were passionate, professional, and knew how to motivate me. Thank you so much again guys! I’ll definitely go there again the next time I'm in Tarifa!
