Accommodation
During the surf camp, you will be staying at The Ocean Spirit Lodge in a private room or a shared room with your friends or strangers. It is a place where modern-day pirates mingle with nomadic mermaids, where freshwater sailors meet old salt dogs, and where well-traveled treasure hunters socialize with passport stamp collectors. It is also a place where the seafaring tribes of board sports enthusiasts meet. There are three types of rooms for your choice.
Dorm
This room is a four-bed luxury dorm that is perfect for budget travelers or small groups. It has a bathroom with a shower and a toilet. The room is equipped with individual reading lights, lockers, and loads of smart design details. Wi-Fi is available with a solid connection.
Suite
There are two rooms with a palette wood interior where you can feel like living in a postmodern pirate admiral’s cabin. The room is equipped with a queen-size bed. There are three bathrooms with showers and toilets on this upper deck of the lodge. Wi-Fi is available with a solid connection.

Program
From surfing to yoga, be spoiled with choices that will keep your days filled with fun activities. You will stay overnight at a charming accommodation where you can relax after wonderful days. During this surf camp, you will have 15 hours of kite lessons in five days, consisting of three hours per day.
You will also enjoy one yoga lesson and a stand-up paddleboarding tour to the Grottos along with daily transfers to the kite and surf spots. Besides that, on non-windy days, you will also be able to enjoy free surfing, a stand-up paddleboarding tour, or wakeboarding to fill your time. Please take note this program is designed for all levels of surfers from 14 to 75 years old.
Included excursions
You will join a SUP tour to the Grottos neat Lagos and guided hikes on no-wind days.

Benny is an instructor at Kite School Portugal. He is a certified surf instructor and yoga teacher. He is ready to welcome you in Portugal. His certifications include VDWS Kiteschool management course (VDWS International), VDWS instructor supervisor (VDWS International), VDWS SUP instructor (VDWS International), ASI surf instructor level I (Academy Surfing Instructors), Surfing Instructor Water Safety Rescue Award (Academy Surfing Instructors), 200-hour yoga teacher certified by International Yoga Alliance, lifeguard (German Lifeguard DRDS Silber Abzeichen), and first aid certification.
Location
The surf camp will take place in Algarve, Portugal. It is close enough to the buzzing tourist hotspot Lagos but far enough to enjoy the relaxed vibe of nature. It has excellent kitesurfing, surfing, and stand-up paddle-boarding spots in all directions. The southwest Algarve is a very special place for all kinds of water sports and tours. Located on the tip of land between the south-facing and west-facing coast around Sagres and Lagos, there are always different wind and swell directions just around the corner.
No matter what activity you want to do, kitesurfing lessons, surfing, or stand-up paddle boarding in Lagos, the perfect conditions are usually just a short drive away. The rough scenery and unspoiled nature are breathtaking. This region has one of the biggest and best-preserved coastlines in Europe. Some of the most beautiful places are only accessible by water which makes it extremely exciting to explore this region on top of a SUP board or under a kite.
Sandy beaches, crystalline lagoons, flat waters, and fun waves make it the perfect location for your surfing holiday. The place is located just in the middle of buzzing Lagos and secluded nature places. The nearest beach is only 700 meters away from the accommodation. Supermarkets, ATMs, restaurants, and several bars are just around the corner.
