During the camp, you will be staying at The Ocean Spirit Lodge. It is a place where modern-day pirates mingle with nomadic mermaids, where freshwater sailors meet old salt dogs, and where well-traveled treasure hunters socialize with passport stamp collectors. It is a place where the seafaring tribes of board sports enthusiasts meet.
There is a large garden with orange, lemon, and Nespera fruit trees, and also plenty of hammocks and sun chairs to chill out. You can also enjoy an outdoor cinema with surf, kite, and classic movie night, join the famous weekly pizza night, or play chess. There is also the most stylish bar of the Algarve, a free bicycle rental, a hidden yoga studio, and a fully equipped kitchen available.
Dorm
This room is a four-bed luxury dorm, which is perfect for budget travelers or small groups. It has a bathroom with a shower and toilet. The room is equipped with individual reading lights, lockers, and loads of smart design details. Wi-Fi is available with a solid connection.

There are two rooms with palette wood interiors where you can feel like living in a postmodern pirate admiral’s cabin. The room is equipped with a queen-sized bed. There are three bathrooms with a shower and toilet on this upper deck of the lodge. Wi-Fi is available with a solid connection.
Program
With the combination of yoga classes, unspoiled nature, and the energy of the waves, this is where you want to be on your surfing holiday. Guided by certified and experienced instructors, find your perfect waves, meet like-minded people, and get the most out of your surfing holiday. During the first three hours, you will experience the power of the kite pulling you through the water and you will be hooked immediately. In only three days, you will learn the basics and be able to ride a board.
As long as your body weight is at least 45 kilograms, no one is too young or old for this activity (Kite School Portugal accept students from 14 to 75 year olds). Equipment has become considerably safer in recent years, so kitesurfing gets your adrenaline levels up without being necessarily an extreme sport. Well, at least if you have this kind of equipment and know how to use it properly. At Kite School Portugal, they do. That is why they got their internationally recognized license from VDWS International.
To get going, Kite School Portugal recommends you take professional lessons for at least three to five days and keep practicing under the supervision of a kite school after that, so you have a rescue service available if needed. Soon, you will be able to fly your board across the oceans safely and with control. You will have 10 hours of kitesurf sessions. The goal of this course is to get you up and riding on your board and to learn how to go upwind. This program includes:

Benny is an instructor at Kite School Portugal. He is a certified surf instructor and yoga teacher. He is ready to welcome you in Portugal. His certifications include VDWS Kiteschool management course (VDWS International), VDWS instructor supervisor (VDWS International), VDWS SUP instructor (VDWS International), ASI surf instructor level I (Academy Surfing Instructors), Surfing Instructor Water Safety Rescue Award (Academy Surfing Instructors), 200-hour yoga teacher certified by International Yoga Alliance, lifeguard (German Lifeguard DRDS Silber Abzeichen), and first aid certification.
Location
The surf camp will take place in Algarve, Portugal. It is close enough to the buzzing tourist hotspot Lagos, but far enough to enjoy the relaxed vibe of nature. It has excellent kitesurfing, surfing, and stand-up paddle-boarding spots in all directions. The Southwest Algarve is a very special place for all kinds of water sports and tours. Located on the tip of land between the south-facing and west-facing coast around Sagres and Lagos, there is always different wind and swell directions just around the corner.
No matter what activity you want to do, kitesurfing lessons, surfing, or stand-up paddle boarding in Lagos, the perfect conditions are usually just a short drive away. The rough scenery and unspoiled nature are breathtaking. This region has one of the biggest and best-preserved coastlines in Europe. Some of the most beautiful places are only accessible by water, which makes it extremely exciting to explore this region on top of a SUP board or under a kite.
Sandy beaches, crystalline lagoons, flat waters, and fun waves make it the perfect location for your surfing holiday. The place is located just in the middle of buzzing Lagos and secluded nature places. The nearest beach is only 700 meters away from the accommodation. Supermarkets, ATMs, restaurants, and several bars are just around the corner.
