Kite Progress Tarifa offers to its clients a spacious and modern accommodation in the kite house, Tarifa. The house is really comfortable with two double bedrooms, big living room& kitchen. It is located only 5 minutes walk from the beach and very close to main restaurants, bars, and grocery stores.


Course information

This kitesurfing course is suitable for beginners, as well as for those who want to improve their skills and their knowledge in this area. Some of the things you will learn as a beginner include: basic theory of the wind and assessing the suitability of the beach, knowledge and use of the safety systems, setting up and packing down the kite, knowing and evaluating the area, flying the kite in different areas in the wind, launching and landing the kite with the help of an assistant, flying a big kite.

What to expect

Kite Progress Tarifa can teach you the best of all disciplines (freeride, freestyle, new school, wave riding and racing). Through our pragmatic, 'tried and tested' approach to instructing, the IKO certified (level 2 and level 2 senior) instructors tailor each lesson based on the level and individual needs of the pupils. The certified IKO kiteboarding instructors will help you learn proper kiteboarding practices and techniques, outlining what should and should not be done, every step of the way. Kite Progress Tarifa will give you useful tips on understanding the wind and choosing the right kiteboarding equipment, as well as a complete list of kiteboarding terminology.

Kite Progress Tarifa is teaching kitesurfing on the beach of Los Lances, right at the beginning of the kitesurfing zone. Playa de Los Lances (The Los Lances Beach) is a long and white sandy beach with an average width of 120 meters. The beach is situated north of Tarifa, until Torre de la Peña. It is a very popular kitesurfing spot with many services, such as beach bars, toilets, showers, camping site and the possibility of parking.

How to get there

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Seville Airport (SVQ), Málaga Airport (AGP), Jerez Airport (XRY), or Gibraltar International Airport (GIB). Transfer from and to this airport is available upon request.

Transfer from and to Seville Airport (SVQ) costs 120 EUR, Málaga Airport (AGP) costs 100 EUR, Jerez Airport (XRY) costs 80 EUR, and Gibraltar International Airport (GIB) costs 50 EUR.

Kite Progress Tarifa will pick you up from the airport arrivals and take you directly to your accommodation in Tarifa. There is a maximum capacity of 4 passengers with luggage. If you have any board bags, please advise when booking. In addition to the transportation, buses depart from all airports throughout the day, just take those which are headed towards Tarifa or Algeciras.

Arrival by bus

From the Málaga Airport (AGP), Seville Airport (SVQ), and Jerez Airport (XRY), you first have to take a bus to the centers of these cities, and from there take a second bus to Tarifa. If arriving at the Gibraltar airport, you first have to cross the border to Spain. From La Linea de Concepción, which is a town right across the border in Spain, take the bus to Tarifa. The bus station is about 10 minutes’ walk away from the crossing point.
