Kite Progress Tarifa strongly believe anyone who wants to learn, can!
This kitesurfing course is suitable for beginners,intermediate and Expert, as well as for those who want to improve their skills and their knowledge in this area.
What to expect
Kite Progress Tarifa can teach you the best of all disciplines (freeride, freestyle, new school, wave riding, and racing). Through their pragmatic, 'tried and tested' approach to instructing, the IKO certified instructors tailor each lesson based on the level and individual needs of the pupils. The certified IKO kiteboarding instructors will help you learn proper kiteboarding practices and techniques, outlining what should and should not be done, every step of the way.
Kite Progress Tarifa will give you useful tips on understanding the wind and choosing the right kiteboarding equipment, as well as a complete list of kiteboarding terminology. Everything will be personalized to your skill set and they will take the time to make sure you feel safe, comfortable, and have fun.
Day 1
- Wind Theory
- Safety systems
- Set up the kite
- Wind windows zone
- Theory and practice of " self-rescue"
- Launching a landing kite
- Flying kite with one hand
- Practice body dragging on the beach
- Pack kite
Day 2
- Body dragging in the water
- Safe area
- Body dragging downwind
- Flying kite in the power zone
- Relaunch the kite from the water
- Upwind body drag (one-handed)
Day 3
- Water start theory
- Steady pull with the kite
- Water start with both directions
- Riding in both directions
- Rights way
- Gaining speed on the board
Private lesson
- 1 student and 1 teacher (one-on-one lesson)
- 2 hours per day/6 hours total
Semi-private lesson
- 1 teacher and 2 students
- 1 kite during theory on land
- 2 kites in the water
- 3 hours per day/9 hours total
Group lesson
- 1 teacher and 4 students
- 1 kite during theory on land
- 2 kites in the water
- 4 hours per day/12 hours total
Note
In case kitesurfing isn't feasible due to the weather conditions, customers have the option to opt for wing foil or surf sessions instead, whenever possible, in case there is no possibility of either of these, you will receive a voucher to be used during the current year.
The Kite lessons will be instructed by multiple instructors who are experts in kite surfing (IKO certified). The lessons will be held by these instructors based on their availability. These instructors will provide a comprehensive and engaging learning experience.
