This place was our introduction to Sri Lanka, perfect little retreat that helps you to unwind after a long journey from the UK. We stayed for 3 nights in one of the White Cabana’s, we knew from other reviews it wasn’t 5 star luxury, but it was fine. Comfy bed, pillows were a bit hard, mosquito net, place to hang some of your clothes, tepid water from your shower. We felt safe here, Amjad was an amazing host. Home cooked food, delicious and huge portions, made to your choice of seafood, chicken or vegetables. The surrounding areas are gorgeous, lagoon with many birds, donkeys, kitesurfing, scuba diving, and a beautiful beach a short bike ride away. Thanks so much Karen and Gary!
We stopped at Kite Bay Resort for one night during a whirlwind tour of Sri Lanka (doing the most with our short six days). Ahmjad was anxiously awaiting our arrival, and greeted us kindly with milk tea before organizing the next day’s activity for us, dolphin watching. It’s an absolute must! He woke up early to prepare a boxed breakfast and coffee for us before we headed to the boat. We returned around noon, and were met with a delicious hot lunch. There are only three rooms here, so it is nice and private, with a great common space in the courtyard to lounge in between activities. The accommodations are modest but comfortable, and the best we found on our budget trip to Sri Lanka. Thank you again, Ahmjad.
Great little place out the way from noise. The rooms are traditionally made so don't be expecting a 5-star retreat. Yes, there are bugs around but that's nature for you. Amjad the host is great and organized awesome trips for us. The food there is also great!
