Program

During this holiday, the surf guiding session will be available twice a day for those with basic to the more advanced surfing experience. All surf spots are divided into small groups and are selected by experienced surf guides depending on current weather conditions (tide, wind, and swell).

All of the surf guides are perfectly familiar with the local conditions and they will advise you on all the special features and potential dangers of the respective surf spot. It goes without saying that they are always in the water with you and will help you out with good suggestions.

Three times per week, KIMASurf accompany surf sessions with a video camera for extensive analysis where they show you how to improve. If you like, there are also theory lessons with basic information about surf rules, equipment maintenance, and wave education available twice a week.

You will have the opportunity to sign up for the surf sessions suiting your wish and abilities in the surf plan on the evening before. If you can’t wait to go surfing and you don’t mind getting up for an early morning surf, you can even go on more than the usual two sessions.

During this surf camp in Canggu, you can go on daily explorations to surf spots close by or further afield. Thanks to the guides' years of experience, they will bring you to the best breaks, beaches, and riffs up and down the island.

Just check for availability. You can hire a scooter with a board carrier for a few euros per day. A driver can be organized at reception for short trips to the supermarket or the ATM. An international driver’s license is necessary for all vehicles.

Cultural and sports trips

KIMASurf offers a different island tour every day for those looking to explore inland Bali, providing you with one or more vehicles and a driver for a small fee. The itineraries include tours to the volcano lakes along rice terraces, stopping at old temple sites and waterfalls. Sometimes, several guests spontaneously decide to go on a trip together, sharing both fun and costs. These tours can only be booked on site.

Custom surfboard

Experienced shapers manufacture custom made surfboards exclusively for surf camp participants. Your board can be ordered according to individual wishes (size, weight, surf level, dimensions required) in various colors and designs. All boards come with an ESS board bag. There are special Kima discounts on fins, leashes, and foot pads. The prices start at 339 EUR per board.

Exploring Bali

Hindu Bali offers a great number of ancient temple sites, royal palaces, and rice terraces inland, but also shopping and dining options or trendy hotspots in the coastal cities. Sports enthusiasts can choose from a wide variety of activities such as diving, wakeboarding / kiteboarding, stand-up paddling, volcano trekking, rafting, mountain biking, or climbing giant trees.

Kima surf camps offer private surf coaching in Bali for every surfing level. During a two-hour intensive session with an experienced guide you can improve your surf style and learn some new tricks. Individually tailored to your preferences and level, you can set off alone or with your friends and hit all the surf spots Bali has to offer. Our experienced guides will make sure that you are always surfing the best surf spots according to your surfing level, wind and tides. They will be with you in the water to give you general tips and advise you on wave selection and manoeuvring.

Package includes spot transfer, spot instruction, intensive one-on-one coaching, four-hour surf session, and surfboard. The cost is 69 EUR (two single sessions or for two persons in one 2-hour session)

Learn-to-surf

With the international licensed Surf School in Bali, qualified tuition for the rookies is offered. The special recipe is first the basics and then move on to learning by doing, one sure way of getting hooked on surfing. This package consists of three-day surf school, where you will learn the basics, such as paddling, turning your board, and techniques to get you back on your feet.

The Learn to Surf package is the ideal way to connect into the guided tours. After and parallel to the surf school classes, you can already take part in the guided tours for beginners to practice with surf guides. Training is three days, two hours, in small groups with individual supervision, transfer, equipment, sunscreen, and water. The cost is 79 EUR per person.
