We had their first trip to Barbados for the Crop Over festival. Not knowing what to expect from the property, being that it was our first time staying outside of a hotel. Trusting a friends recommendation about the property was the best referral we could have ever received. We stayed in the Rose apartment and it was a home away from home experience. I am very particular when it come to cleanliness. The apartment was spotless. We were provided with every amenity you could think of. Our apartment was nicely furnished and even included a washer machine. Carl and Orlando treated us like family you really really like! It wasn't nothing we couldn't ask for. This place is better than a hotel on any level, and I have stayed in five-star hotels they can't compare nor compete with the level of service Karibu Garden provides. We were conveniently located near the beach just minutes away. Also we were conveniently situated to the grocery store, ATM, bus stop, and restaurants. There will never be another place I would stay other than Karibu Garden while in Barbados. It's your home away from home. Everyone is family.
Firstly, we were very impressed that there were a couple cold beers in our fridge as well as close drinks. Visiting Karibu for the first time but not the last. The owner treats you like his rich uncle who came home. Everything was as advertised and we just loved this place. Well worth the daily rate and the compound dog made us feel right at home. We just loved this place and there is a little local store Cheryl's who sells beer and necessary cheaper than the big stores and a one minute walk. Enjoyed the place and the host. Fabulous homey place.

We arrived jet lagged to a kind welcome, fresh milk, advice, and friendship. The suite we had was clean, quirky, and delighted us - especially the balcony sitting room. We loved the local church with its matins chime at 6 a.m., monkeys coming over the roofs at dawn, local shops, board walk, seaside, and bird life. We walked to Oistins and found the local buses easy to use. Nothing was too much trouble as we settled in to Island life. Great fun!

I lived at Karibu Garden for three years while I was still in Barbados. The owners and hosts, Jen and Carl, have always treated me as they do with all guests, like family. There is something magical about Karibu Garden that keeps me wanting to stay there and I have stayed in hostels and luxury hotels all over the world, and this is still one of my favorite spots. The main reasons why I always come back are the feeling of being in a lush garden oasis, the near location to the good bars, restaurants, beaches, the amazing people, and the Wi-Fi.
We stayed at Karibu Garden for a week in January 2014. It wasn't the first time and it won't be the last. The owners, Jennifer and Carl, are the most welcoming hosts and the apartments are all individually fitted to create a personal experience. We stayed in the newly renovated two bedroom apartment by the entrance. The garden is very lush and the location is great and beautiful. Saint Matthias church also brings you right into local Barbados culture. The great Accra beach is just a few minutes away, so are good restaurants and convenient stores. If you want anonymous big-hotel standards, you're probably better off at Hilton up the road. If you prefer an intimate, friendly, and personal environment, this is your place.
Just a lovely place to be. Beautifully maintained, ideally located, two minutes away from the beach, and ten minutes away from Bridgetown. It is also really near from supermarket and banks. The owners make you feel special and go the extra mile to ensure your stay is wonderful.
