Located between the ocean, sand dune, and coconut estate, Kappaldy has 10 comfortable bungalows with attached toilets.
The 4 new deluxe bungalows can fit up to 4 persons and is available for booking from June 2017.
On this surf camp, you will enjoy an 18-hour surf clinic that is divided into 3-hour morning sessions for 6 days. This clinic is designed to help give you the confidence and the know how to push yourself safely with theory, demonstrations, and video coaching to show you exactly where your mistakes are being made. Being able to see the mistake on video makes it much easier to correct the next time. You will also have some nice photos at the end of your stay so you can show off the new skills you’ve picked up.
You can choose either to organize your own group of friends to come for a clinic or join a group of other like-minded people. It can be hard to push yourself to try something new. A group clinic is great because you will have a group of people push themselves so everybody is crashing and laughing it off. It is by far the most fun you can have while learning something new.
Ola Greszczuk has started kitesurfing in 2005. She has been teaching on various spots in Poland since 2011 and now working in Sri Lanka. In 2013, she passed the exam for IKO instructor.
Zac Andrews started kiting in England when he was 14. He completed his instructors' course in 2012 and has spent the last 5 years working around the world and finally settling in Sri Lanka in December 2015.
This surf camp will take place on Kappalady lagoon, Sri Lanka. Your place of stay, Kappalady kite camp, is situated on the west coast of Kalpitiya peninsula at the Kappalady lagoon and directly faces the pristine Indian Ocean. It is a very calm place, close to nature, and most importantly, surrounded by perfect kitesurfing spots. The surf spots are within walking distance and offer perfect flat water, waist deep water, and laminar wind.
Daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be served for you during the surf camp. You will discover a wide variety of local and international cuisine. All vegetables and fruit are freshly picked from Kalpitiya area. The seafood is brought daily by local fishermen. You will also enjoy water, tea, and coffee.
